Hey bezo, you mind doing a small line for my game? I like the Damashi voice you did for your MK parody thing :)

correction. it's an image!

made in flash, sub-par art, but quick meaningful art.

i had u in mind actually when i made it :) ha ha, i liked the turnout.

flash IS hard, but you'll get better in time.
just keep at it. ur on the right path.

and if all are pissed :) check out that 'stressed' comic. i will be doing situational stuff that may piss you off and you can laugh at! heh, i figured ep 3 needed to give some props to VA's, in my offensive way... ... :3

Check it out. If nothing else, I think it's some of the finest audio editing I've ever done (which is an art in itself) ;)

Deleted Scene 1 is Johnny Cage and Jax trying to pick up girls and accidentally happening upon Sonya.

Deleted Scene 2 is a fight between Shujinko and Scorpion for something important.

Deleted Scene 3 is a nice tale of Sindel finally reconciling her estranged relationship with Shao Kahn...or IS it?

http://img57.exs.cx/my.php?loc...nquestadventure1deleted9hi.swf

It's gonna be fantastic when it's animated. ;)

TESM: Actually, like I told you on MSN, flash isn't what's stressing me; it's the Flash Animators who don't finish their work. They're evil. Yet they give us what we need and want: roles. Damn them. >:(

Bezo: Gah. I wish flash player worked on my laptop. Can't see that either. *Sigh*

Elliar - Doh! Sorry, I convert everything to Flash because I can host it for free with no bandwidth limits and it's smaller than hosting a .WAV or .MP3.

I'll host it for you, courtesy of Mobiuz, thanks to audigy. That is, if you want. You can send it to me via MSN or AIM and I'll upload it to my website. ^.^

Light bulb time. Whoo.

Oh yeah, its my birthday as of today. Whoo and all that.

And uh, movies in limbo. Those fuckers. If I ever meet those certain flash authors on the streets in real life I'll (The following 12 paragraph statement concerning a fantasy meeting between a flash author and a frustrated voice actor has been omitted due to extreme graphic violence and general poor taste).

wow, this stuff speaks my comics language. i love it.

dun worry all. animators are a fickle bunch with a lot of stress on their heads too.

it's up to you all to pick and choose the betters of the bunch.

Sorry MaKd. You have to have somewhere where a sample of your voice is uploaded. Like on Ripway, or something. Flash animators sometimes don't like to waste time e-mailing people. Can you develop some sort of demo by recording yourself compiling any voices you can make in it and then upload it somewhere (preferably as a .mp3)? If you need any help on how to go about making your own Voice Acting demo, go visit the How To Join? section of the VAC Roster where it has a lot of helpful information and tips on how to make one, or you can try contacting me and asking for help. Thanks.

MaKd: Done! Replied to the e-mail with the link to your demo, which is: http://elliair.mobiuz.com/hosting/makd/Mixdown%20(5).mp3. Now welcome to the VAC! You are now officially a member of this fine voice acting community here at NG. You'll be up on the roster when Omahdon has time (and is not feeling like a lazy ass :P).

Maybe I should stop making these megaposts and just stick to posting whenever I feel it relevant or necessary. Hmmmm. Nah. But I'm going to avoid the whole homosexuality thing between Hobbes_The_Prince and Shinigami_Ichigo since it's dead and buried. I will say however, that some of my favourite roles involve playing sexually ambiguous characters who seem to like both snails and oysters, if ya know what I mean. O.o And they're almost always villainously evil. What's up wit dat?

Hobbes_The_Prince: Well, I would think getting typecast means that the authors know your previous work in the first place. Which can be both a good and bad thing: For one, and the most important thing, it means that your name is getting around as a reliable voice actor who can be trusted to do certain voices and do those voices well. The second thing is, you get scouted and that's always fun, whether the actual role itself is good or bad. Thr third thing though, and perhaps the bad thing, is that you constantly get asked to do those roles because that's what people expect you to do. I've heard that happening a lot more with anime voiceover people than those with a career in American syndicated work, though. I mean, I keep hearing David Lucas, Crispin Freeman, Wendee Lee in the same type of roles over and over again, but people like Billy West, Phill Lamar, Corey Burton et al go everywhere and anywhere. On the otherhand, they're all good at what they do, so you can't knock them for that.

vel_jack: Sounds like you're dealing with a crippled version of Cool Edit Pro which only lets you save the first minute of work (I think)? You might want to see what you can do about that.... Maybe make the sample encompass one minute? Or find a *coughs*crackforit*coughs*. But whatever solution works best for you, I guess!

TVs_Slayer: Your cut-and-paste of the club greeting is missing the linkage to the roster to make sense! Nice B&B imitations. :-P

Sittolytic: Hey, Tom! Welcome! I think I know you well enough to know your sampleage is great (downloaded them anyway to make sure the links are working), so I'll just add you to the roster. Again, welcome!

Elliair: Man, I hate being known as just the guy who makes megaposts. One reason why I should just stop posting them and ask for the occasional summary so I don't have to reply to all the posts I missed. Bwah. @_@

TESM: Very funny and very true strip there.... Especially about having to work with craptastic scripts. I really can't keep my fingers off the keyboard and editing the short lines to be something more... eloquent when I see stuff like "wat s sumtin rong they r attack o no". Ergh. That's a worst case scenario, but you know what I mean. Being able to keep a handle on the story and not just rambling away into nonsense is something that some flash producers have trouble with. O.o

Bezo: Man, those clips are funny even without the visual elements. XD Awesome work there, to both you and KagomeHigurashi!

MaKd: .... You're just lucky that Elliair helped you out before I had time to dish out unholy rage upon you. Well, since your sampler is up and I've heard you before in the Disgaea series, I guess you're in! Very nice array of voices in your sampler and at a nice quality.... though with some mic puffs here and there, a bit of distortion from being too loud and some very obviously artificial pitch changes. But nice job! I'll get you on the roster when I next update.

In regards to flash authors who don't have their act together and waste everyone's time.... Well, they suck. If they have never done a movie before, EVER, or they're still trying to grasp the basics, then they have no business trying to start up a collaboration and drag everyone else down with them. It's usually the very, very new people who have only a movie or two that barely scrape into the portal that are the troublemakers, I feel. I know that's probably a gross generalisation, but it hasn't steered me wrong yet when I'm looking at prospective roleage and wondering whether or not I should even try. Being able to check out the author's profile = godsend. On the otherhand, it has occasionally cost me some good roles, but I try not to think about that. O.o

Man, page 90 of this thread is turning out to be the bitter one where we complain about flash producers who waste our time and effort. And about chimp_cartoons, who is the personification of all the above, and enjoying his downfall. We're going to go to hell, that we are. XD;;; Oh, oh! I even made a radioplay about this.... A little over a year ago. It's actually more about disappearing radioplay producers than about flash producers but the message remains the same. Take a listen: The Producer Black Hole. It stars Sittolytic, Sadsiren and myself.

Omahdon: I've decided to do a brief summary for 10 pages. Starting now, seeing as it's Page 90. I'll be posting the full summary on Page 100. That way you won't be labeled as the 'mega posting molestor' of the group. Instead, you'll be named as 'the guy who's never around yet still manages to molest people' of the group. :)

Also, great radio play! And I thought I knew who Sittyolic was. Gosh, being a lurker is so cool. We know things about people, but they don't know that we know! Kind of stalker-ish, eh? "I'm watching you..." O.o;

Anywho. That Radioplay gave me an idea: the VAC should do a radio play of their own, featuring any of the more active members of the club. What does everyone think? I haven't any ideas on what exactly the radio play would be about, but I reckon it'd be a lot of fun.

I just had an epiphany!!!!...hrmmmm, dang it not again. I will have to get back with you all on that one. >_< No wait! I remember:

We should ALL throw together a nice little 5 minute or less radioplay. This is for all active members, and we can all donate a voice to it (a good voice). Think of all the mayhem!! I would be glad to host the file! Yessssssssss. *coughs* anyways let me know. =))

Cheers!

Maybe it could be about some of the idiotic people we've encountered and stuff....We could all play our typical characters, like I could be Kagome from InuYasha ;)
