Um, a quick question from a totally noob Beginning VA here. I'm curious what would be some good equipment I should get and how I should really go about getting better at this. I've no illusions that I'm going to be the top VA just by having a mike, but I'd like to get better. Currently, I have Audacity, a headset with a Mic, and Adobe Primer.

Is there anything I should change (Such as getting a standing mike vs on attached to headphones) and any suggestions on how to get better?

The voice of the following final fantasy characters.

Kain from FF4. i'd say hes 25-30 years old sounding will be an evil tone.

Leo from FF6 evil

What is a good mike and equipment for voice acting over the web?

Anything Logitec is good.

I have a great voice. I just need a Microphone and maybe some sort of software.
Any suggestions?

Labtec and Logitech models can be recommended as "cheap but effective" USB microphones.

Regarding free but effective recording software, try WavePad or Audacity.

Looking for a very specific voice actor

Right, ill cut right to it, im looking for someone who can rant / talk pationately about drug use, both condoning its use and damning it :)

Preferably someone willing to make quite a few takes on a set of lines, actualy knows what they are talking about and has the ability to add lip where its needed.

In short, someone who can take a script from me and make it their own.

Voice wise i'm not overly fussed, just as long as you can pull off a decent rant i'm fine with it :)

Also bear in mind that i'm trying to get my own voice to sound passable, so if i can pull that off this post can be ignored, but until then, anyones welcome ^^

i have an older mic, but i also have 120$ headsets i got 6 months ago, and yeah i would like to know a good program to use to do good voice acting that is background noise friendly, and is able to save to .mp3, or .wav formats (windows sound recorder is NOT what im talkin about)

i need a voice actor for my new movie, it's a sequel to my earlier work which (aside from some graphics which were slightly below average dew to rushing and lack of time etc.) was quite decent

i plan to make this one really good, no cutting corners at all.

i'm becoming failry good at graphics (i think). but who cares.

this is about the storyline of the new 'cafeluno' which i've decided to give a more epic name because the story line has taken a turn, it's now fairly serious (lol they're drinks)

i plan to make the new one like lord of the rings, but because it's with coffee, tea and other beverages such as beer, i'm thinking of calling it, lord of the brands or lord of the drinks, hopefully i'll come up with soemthing better

basically there's a war going on, and i want to turn it into something more epic.

i need a narrator, someone with a really serious epic, catchy voice, deep and maybe a little creepy

someone who can make people really listen, but not have trouble hearing what's being said...any takers?

Hello all, I'm doing the Audio for this new short movie and am currently looking for voice actors. The two character we need VA's for are:

Rien, a poor boy desperately trying to save him home and family. (should sound age 13-15) and
Toora, a cold hearted civil inspector (should sound age 30)

I'm looking for a fairly deep male voice, similar to those found in story book read throughs and game introductions.

Script
1. In a kingdom far far away, in a land plagued with volcanoes...

2. There lived the maige people, who dwelled in rocky caves deep
within the volcanoes.

3. The maige people went about their daily lives, mining gem ores
and forging iron deep underground.

4. Until one day....

5. An evil monster came to the maige kingdom, turning the land into a
winter wasteland.

6. It was thought that no one could save the maige people, as everyone
was frozen by the monster.

7. Well all except a maige boy, by the name of Magmok.

8. Magmok returned to the kingdom after gathering food in the grasslands,
to find his homeland transformed into snow and ice.

9. Only one person awaited his arrival, a strange cloaked figure that handed
him map, and bestowed upon him a quest to save his homeland.

10. And to retrieve the rod of maigemahil.
