At 7/27/06 08:56 PM, Quirk99 wrote: There's nothing wrong with it. If you don't like this thread then don't go to it.

Below is a breakdown of the current NGVAC regulars and semi-regulars:

Relatively new members who are dedicated to the continuity of this thread:
Shard_Spider, Quirk99

2004-era veterans who still come by, well aware that this thread is way past its prime:
Kagome, D-Mac, Omahdon

Relatively new members, aware that this thread is past its prime:
Moose1015

Only 2 relatively new members actively support this club nowadays, rather than the 30-something it once was. The number of dedicated members here is NOT increasing, nor has it done so in many, many months. Though maybe I'm the only one who sees that as a problem.

Indeed, it is -very- easy to be cast in productions here, but this in mainly due to the extreme lack of any competition, structure or screening process in the VA audition requests posted in this thread. Most animators posting here have never finished a flash before, and do not often finish the animations they've had VAs submit lines for.
The number of VAs here is not enough to meet demand, and as it stands, Kagome is currently the -only- dedicated voice actress on all of NG BBS.

Enough ranting from me. I've covered the "nothing wrong with it", so In regards to the "If you don't like this thread then don't go to it":

I come here to inform the few seemingly dedicated animators I come across that they will no longer find a well-rounded selection of VAs here, and to inform the few seemingly dedicated new VAs I come across that they'll learn and improve much more at the VAC Forums than they ever will here. Auditioning for flashes there is also much easier and more organized, which benefits both the animator and the VAs. More importantly, many more flash project from there actually get finished.

Ughhh... this took me way to long to write. When will I ever learn to just copy and paste the same message every couple days. ;_;

Hello, my partner and I are currently looking for a voice actor for a new flash animation we will be starting production on sometime in late July. The script is still in the making but here is the general plot.

It is April, 1945. Berlin is under siege from the red army from all directions, all hope is lost. Hitler, their once invincible leader is confined in the Führerbunker. The Wehrmacht now outnumbered 8 to 1 has no hope of retaking the city. Hitler believes his people failed him and the Third Reich should come crashing down with the Germanic people. The story will follow numerous characters including a German colonel, a SS tank commander, a soviet corporal, and the Führer himself.

We are looking for voice talents for the opening intro and possibly character voices. The voice we are looking for is a heavy one with a slight hint of German accent if possible. We are also looking for a voice actor with a Russian accent.

D-Mac: Ah, that probably took a bit more time to write than necessary. :-P I'm just posting this message occasionally so that if people want good solid work they have some place to go to. If they're not interested in said solid work then.... Well, they can stick around this very dead thread.

Downfall's: Even though I have a decent voice for most characters, I have no accent and I can't excatly mimic other people or video game characters perfectly.

Hey, I always wanted to do some voice acting. I can do pretty much anything I train myself to do, I entertain friends with voices of Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Mickey Mouse, Popeye, Bill Cosby, or Agent Smith. Plus I can do pretty much any other voice, except women. Since I'm a guy.

Attention Voice Actors. I'm working on a Fan-Dub and I need voice-actors. The show my project is based on isn't an Anime. The Show is Earthworm Jim. The fan-dub is based off the first episode, "Sidekicked". Since this is my first project in this category, this will be kind of a test show, so I will not make of this. That said, I need of voice-actors, especially those who never missed an episode and been practicing the voices for the past decade.
Here's Low down:
*auditions will run from now until August 9th.
*Only two voices are completly occupied: Earthworm Jim (Me) and the Narrator (a friend).
*Princess What's-Her-Name is not occupied, but she is on hold. I will accept auditoners for the part, but don't hold your breath.
*Voices I need are: Peter Puppy, Professor Monkey-For-A-Head, Psy-Crow, Queen Slug-For-A-Butt, Evil the Cat, Store Merchant, Zantor, A Shadow, Butcher, Random Mother, Hotel Clerk and Turns-His-Eye-Lids-Insideout-Boy.

If you're interested, send me your e-mail address and the name of the character you wish to try out to my e-mail: odin1987x2000@yahoo.com
If you have now idea about the character that you're trying out, let me know BEFORE you send the recording, so I can describe the character for you. I will also try to send a copy of the episode to you. Thank you, and Happy Acting!

-Sonic_Muyo87X-

PS- I'll have to send you the script via e-mail, because I can't save it as a gif of jpeg file. Neither Microsoft Word, Notepdad nor Wordpad will let me.

cutoff date: August 7, 8 pm EST. A decision will not be made until this date.

This is a pilot episode for what may very well turn out to be a series. Brad and Dianne may turn into long-term roles.

Male 1 (Main Role): Name is Brad Finch, he's age 19. Freshman in college. Doesn't have the highest self esteem. Drives a crappy car. Lives with his mother.

Line 1: (very excited after seeing a movie/jubilant) That was the best movie ever made!

Line 2: (fed up. he's been getting ribbed by his friend for a while about one comment he made) MAN! I didn't mean it like that, ok? It was more like the Platonic love. It's totally natural!

Line 3: (Pleased) Ah, Burger King. Home of the Royale with Cheese and partial owner of my heart.

Line 4: (argumentative) You can't add to infinity. It's scientifically impossible!

Female 1: Dianne Johnson. Beautiful Girl. The apple of Jeff's eye. Very preppy and popular. (Her role is very small in this episode. The below lines are it, but this role will be used on a larger scale in the future if this Pilot is received well).

Line 1: (She just overheard Jeff say something very derogatory about women as she walked by) Jeffrey Solomon. I should have known.

Line 2: (mad) Ugghh!...

Male 2: Action Star. Actor on DVD Brad and Jeff are watching. This is someone with a deeper voice, but also someone that can do a good gay lisp. The part isn't huge, but has more lines than below. The actor also needs to show two sides of him. The Acting side without the lisp and the regular side with one.

Line 1: (Proud/distinguished/powerful. His end of movie speech. NO LISP) Whenever there is injustice and desolation, look to the sky and I will be there - protecting you. This, I promise. Always.

Line 2: (thinking, realizing. NO LISP) Well... yes, I suppose that's right

Line 3: (whimpering. WITH LISP) He' not supposed to hit me! (whimper noise) He's being way too rough!

Male 3: This is the extra in the movie during a DVD outtake. These are all the lines he'll have. He plays a thug. He should have slightly different voices. One for the acting side of him, one for the regular side. These are all of his lines.

Line 1: (After hearing the corny line "I put the 'i' in pain". Acting Voice.) So... without you it's just Pan?

Line 2: (fighting back. Acting Voice) Agh!!!

Line 3: (The shot just got cut because the hero got hurt. regular voice) Oh, Jesus. Not again.

Please send all lines to RSQViper@yahoo.com in either .wav or .MP3 (preferred) format. Ensure your name is in the filename so they don't get mixed up.

Thanks!

This tryout is also posted over on http://voiceacting.p..ards62.com/index.cgi

Hi. I'm in need of practice in the voice acting department before I can feel comfortable doing my own Flash cartoon (I don't plan on getting anybody else to do the voices. Makes the whole process go quicker.) I've yet to get a demo up, but I'm not even sure what I should put on it. I haven't done any professional (or any) work. I suppose I could be told to try doing whatever voice somebody tells me to do. I don't know... I just need the practice. My name's Tyler C. Hendrix and my email is GamefreakTai@gmail.com
