It doesn't matter how much experience you have, half the people there don't have much experience either.

ah, but you know what I mean moose... it looks better if you have already been cast for stuff...

I was just wondering, since I will be needing voices for my flash.

Where can I get microphones for the computer that dont suck. Most microphones I find are either those thin ones that sound all crackly, or dont go to the computer.

How do you record your voice directly to computer without having it be all crackly? Can you post a link to a site that has good microphones?

Well, Bwave, depends on what stores you have near you. I'm gonna say you have a Radioshack near you. Well, buy a Dynamic Microphone, Product Number 33-3038. Than get a stand and a wind screen. I guarantee that it will be good quality. That's what I have. The whole thing cost less than $30. A lot of mics don't go right to the computer, because you have to buy an adaptor. They go on the end of the wire, and attach to the other adaptor, then it should fit in. I forgot what kind of adaptor it is (I think it's 1/4" to 1/8") but you should ask the guy that works there about that.

Well, hope my rambling helped.

yeah you have to buy an adaptor, but most vocal mics will do, for super quality i have the same mic I use for being on stage with, which is a wireless vocal mic.. so i can record anywhere in the house haha... not that i'd need to or anything

I have a series planned out, but before I release the full version to Newgrounds, I'm going to make a short pilot, and depending on the score, I might make the full series. for the pilot, I only need 2 voices:

[s]Sonic The Hedgehog: Now played by Shard Spider[/s]

and

the Stone Golum from Sandolpilis Zone (Sonic and Knuckles)
for those who dont know it, see attached image, I was going to voice him myself, but my mic is very crap and picks up alot of static.

I'm aiming for a deep gravaly voice.

Went to VAC forums, and have realized I'd much rather just do it in this thread... the forum
of yours... everything good is already taken, and I just think its alot easier to post in one thread then to skim an entire forum all day looking for interesting roles... but then again,
that's just my opinion.

Wow haven't been here in a while. Anyway, I need some voices again, and before I start getting tomatos thrown at me:

Half Life For Retards WILL be completed, and anyone who voice acted for it, your talent will not have gone to waste. We just needed a breather from the series for a while.

I'm in Flash-Hounds for all those who don't know.

Anyway, we're doing an animation about teletubbies, trust me, it's funnier then it sounds.

At the start there's a news room, I need someone to be an anchorman, reading the news.

I'll also need to interviewer (it's an interview with the teletubbies), and of course all of the teletubbies themselves. (Tinky winky (male), dipsy (male), lala (female), po (female), shame on you for not knowing).

So here's the audition lines for all of 'em:

Anchorman : And our main feature tonight. We have a exclusive interview with the teletubbies, asking them why they think their show is being cancelled.

Notes: Just your usual anchorman, male in his mid 30's.

Interviewer : Do you think the adoption of lassie was a good idea?

Notes: If you've seen the teletubbies, then you'll know that guy at the end that says 'tubby bye bye' or something. For all those who don't know what I'm on about, again, a mid 30's male, but putting on a really patronising voice, as you would if you were talking to a baby. But don't make it high pitched either. Just experiment here.

Tinky Winky (Male) :

Notes: As you might of guessed, for this animation we're making tinky winky gay (him having the red hand bag and all) so just a steriotypically gay accent.

Dipsy (Male) : Have you ever... thought of... the world... but like...
backwards? I mean... (long pause, looks up as if he's seeing swirls of colours) woah...

Notes: I might do this one, because I want it exactly right. But, I've stuck it in here anyway. When dipsy is interviewed, he's gunna be smoking weed, so a I want a really stoned voice here, rambling on about random crap that doesn't make sense. All the ...'s mean pauses, where he'll be taking long deep breathes, as if he's stuggling to talk. Not too long though.

Laa-Laa (Female) : I don't know really, I think it's quite exciting as it is. I mean
what's more fun then having a sun with a baby inside. Maybe also Po needs to
be tamed a bit. She... has issues.

Notes: A normal young sounding female here. Nothing wrong with Laa-Laa in the animation, except she's used and abused, and gets bullied quite a lot, thus causing her to have a bit of a temper.

Po(Female) : N/A

Notes: We're potraiting Po as a mental patient, eating, killing and destroying anything as she see's fit. If anyone thinks they wanna try the kind of panting and growling of her, be my guest, but we might do this one ourselves.

Well that's all of 'em, we may need more as ideas come about. You may now throw your tomatos.

Hello, I need a voice actor for a character of mine in my next episode of Natickville.

He's about 15-16 and is a bully.

If you can give me an agressive and deep voice, or a high pitched but still agressive voice (Like Mike Tyson) please send me a message to my inbox.

Small Voice acting part:

Who wants to be the voice over for Pennywise the clown in my flash series..

The series itself is not about Pennywise (coz that'd just be plain gay) but it is about a coupla mates who get together once a week and come up with a story thats worth being animated. So I get the story together and animate the show based on me and my friend..

Here is the second half of the script:

Clown: HeyHey! Daniel...

Dan: Who are you...

Clown: Its funny you ask see, some people mistake me for cottonmouth kenny, or nosedive clive.. but the people who know me, call me, [2 second pause][lighting on the face] Pennywise..

Dan: aw, FUCK!

Clown: awww, whats the matter Daniel... not so happy to see me [sobby, sooky tone], well you shouldn't be [serious tone][raises gun]

Clown: And now I think its time for you to go to sleep for a long long time....

Dan: no, no, please, no, [Fading in]ahhhhhhh!!!!

Clown: hahaha, goodnight Daniel.... [Clown shoots gun]
------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------

So if anyone is interested in this role please reply or PM me...

-cheers
Dan.

No.

I want this thread to end. I've been here since the very day this was created in 2004, and it makes me sad to look upon how the NGVAC has become such a mockery of it's past glory. =/

Almost everybody's moved on to other communities, and most every VA request here nowadays goes unfulfilled. This thread is now ridiculously inferior to the relatively newVoice Acting Club Forum.

It was a great ride while it lasted.

That's a bit unfair to say... I have auditioned for pretty much everything I could here... and have sent along the lines for everything I have been cast for... also I have been spotted in here by a number of animators and have also done voices for them too... I think this is a great thread... It's certainly giving me the start I need...

Welcome to the forums man... what I recommend you do is put together a little demo of some of the characters and stuff you are able to do and put it on putfile and linking to it in your sig...

to be honest it's not how I did it... but auditions are slim right now... luckily for when I started a few weeks ago they seemed to be in good supply... but you are going to have to expand your range and try and become more confident talking into a microphone... but do a demo and see how you get on... there are two or so auditions up above if you look...

Good luck man

And welcome

You know, all of my VA jobs I've gotten have all been from here. Anyways, it's okay if you promote the Voice acting Club outside of here, but don't bring this one down. There's nothing wrong with it. If you don't like this thread then don't go to it.
