Guys, you still know about the actors I need... right? If you have small movies of 30 minutes, that you'd like to put in my episode, it'll be cool, because in my show (that can be published on the tv) there is a TV on with these little movies can appear.

anyway, please contact me... I still need good voice actors... see obove in my previous post for more details

town_of_living_death@hotmail.com feel free to ad me to your msn messenger.

Thanx in advance,

Hacker

Ok ok ok… I know you all have been waiting oh so patiently for me to give out some sort of awards for the challenges you worked so hard on. So let’s just get right to it:

Most Original Script:
Klepto Bysmal
“Blind Date”

Best Female Voice By A Dude:
Buster
Valley Girl

Best Male Voice By A Laaaaadaaaaaay:
Kagome
Kid who’s name I’ve forgotten

Best One-liner:
Shock Dingo
Zombie Milkman

Best At Not Following Frogs’ Rules:
Theif At Dusk

Best At Fooling Frogs
CiyFox
Navi

Best Jab At GrantM
D-Mac

Best Demonic Grandmother Voice By An Amphibian:
Frogs
“An Afternoon With Grammy”

Best in Show:
Jerma
“Net Nanny”

Most Overdue Entry:
Maynz
???

And yes, these are all cop outs… I warned you they wouldn’t be real awards. And I got lazy and didn’t even do little awards in photoshop for everything. Maybe if time permits this weekend. Probably not though.

Ah yes! The next challenge. Well, I don’t think we should have it this week. But I like the idea of a Halloween themed challenge done in pairs (as discussed at the chat). So if someone wants to come up with some set of rules around that, maybe issue the challenge this weekend? I’d say just make it longer if it’s 2 people, like 4-8 minutes this time. And each person needs to do at least 2 voices. Any other suggestions that might really stretch us as voice actors?

Congrats to all the *ahem* winners....

He never had a name, actually. XD I've been trying to think of a good name to give him in case I ever use him in something else. But thank you.

Halloween challenge sounds fun. I might participate once we have some guidlines.

But GOD, I need a VA break. I can't even keep track of all the jobs I've gotten, auditions to send/hear back from, etc. I had two people IM me today asking me to play parts. I need an f'ing break, man. I'll finish all the stuff I have going right now and then I might just take it slow for a week or so.

Kudos to everyone who was mentioned in Frogs' list of awards. My favorites were "best at fooling frogs" and "best at sounding like grantM". Oh, grantM, we'll never forget you. We'll never forget the way you made us rant, the way you made us repeat ourselves over and freakin' over, or the way you sounded like a girl. *sobs* We'll miss you GrantM! *continues sobbing* Why!? Why did you have to leave us to become a pro VA!? WHY!?

Well, if you want to join you can join, you just have to fill something out. Also, IMPORTANT!!! IMPORTANT!!! you MUST have a voice sample. Producers need to know what you sound like, and if you say you can do certain voices you should back it up in your sample. Check out this link for details on how to join, you can sign up for that website as well if you want. Just follow the guidlines in that thread to join :)

Oh... my... FLIPPIN' fuck, I'm done . *sigh* There was alot cut out for the final project, but hey, there's always Halloween ^.~ (Frogs, you better set me up 3 weeks before, now ><) After hearing it so many times, I don't even know if I like it anymore, lol. But maybe it'll make you laugh, huh?

dalilthug1, now you'll see why you're in it. Lmao... I didn't REALLY think I'd get Ocelot...

Ooooh, in the original, it was so much longer >< *sigh* Hear the rest here. And there's more of Yolanda, but I'm thinking of keeping those secret for Halloween.

Anyways, music from Missy Elliot (Work it) and helbereth (Music Box... something. Search up Music Box in the audio portal)

OKAY! ENOUGH! LISTEN! ENJOY! (D, you oughta archive this, yeah? :))

Well I find that you can get them for like $15 or so at Wal-mart. You might want to invest in a more expensive one later if you get really serious about voice acting, but those cheap ones are usually decent to start out with.

Anyway, I'm back on MSN! Can you believe it? akane_06@hotmail.com

well uh, that was really wierd. This guy DungeonMastah IMs me and asks me if I want to play a part in his flash. I had to get ready for work right then so I said I'd get on it later. It was too late to record anything after work so I did it the auditions the following morning. He tells me the spots are filled already. this all started yesterday and and he just now IM'd me again and says it's finished. I watch it, tell him it was good and he barely says anything and signs off. I'm kinda confused. How did he fill the spots so quick after IMing me asking me to play a part, how did everyone finish their recordings so quick and how did he finish so quick? I understand that Omahdon and Frogs and everyone are much more experienced than I and maybe it takes me longer to record lines than it does them. But I'm still confused. Either way, after acutally watching it I would not have been able to compete with Omahdon's performance, I would never even try to compete with a (in my opinion) master. Same with Frogs. But he asks me to play a part, fills all the spots, the VA's record their lines and he posts his flash all in about 24 hours.

And so, I have another question. How long does it usually take some of you to record lines for a flash? I go through a whole process of developing the voice for the character, recording all the lines, keeping some and redoing others, waiting a day and make sure I like thema and maybe redo some more and then send them. Whole thing often takes me a good 2-3 days. Is that really bad? what's you process and how long do you usually take?

TA - Don't worry about that guy. I've talked to him too - he offered me a role and then the next day said "Oh sorry, I gave it to someone else, she was better." Ugh.

And 2-3 days is great, I mean I've waited like a month once to do lines...that's why deadlines are good, because it forces people not to procrastinate too much.

Well, I've procrastinated, but once I get going it takes a good 2-3 days. But anyway, thanks. I've just felt out of my league in the VAC. Once that happened I REALLY felt out of my league. I've got people right now that I need to finish lines for, once I do I might just take a break for a little while.

Oh man, recording lines? It varies widely for me. Sometimes I will do all the lines as soon as I get them, and that usually takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour (depending on length). Other times I'll put if off until I feel like I CAN do them, and that's usually a day or two. So anywhere from 45 minutes to three days is about how long it takes me.
