*shrugs* I was just clarifying you, Justin. Telling me I'm a no0b (and I am... lots, LOTS to learn! :) ) based of a false accusation about what prgraming I use..., btw, isn't exactly much of a "common courtesy hello"

Well miss know all, I know how to read unlike some people, and based on your own words you stated you use Windows Sound Recorder but you have Audacity and Adobe Audition. But you need help exporting to mp3 , you only hade the Lame encoder. Then someone went on to tell you that Adobe Audition exports. Also if perhaps you got some glasses and did a little reading you would see my "common courtesy" hello.

Kagome: When you first created this club it should have been named, The high school drama club. Because honestly a good 1/3 of the pages here are just flame wars. "U R N00bl@r!....... I r Gr33t3st VA'ER!!!!" And so forth yada yada. I guess it would be against most human nature to have most of the people here to grow the hell up, but that might be asking to much from there feeble immature minds. And On a VAC Note have you got ahold of nick to do spike for the cowboy bebop cosplay? Ty dear..

FourFingers:Your name will be in the credits. It's not like you're going to get payed for every role. Plus dude you have not filled out the profile info that's made up of

Name: (can be your real name or your screen name; however you prefer to be credited.)
Gender:
Age Range: (Not how old you actually are, but what ages you can believably play. Please be realistic - 0-100 sounds nice, but it's highly unlikely so if you say you can do everything from babies to old men you should prove it somewhere in your examples.)
Specialties: (what kind of voices you do best)
Example(s) of your voice: (Please note that you MUST have some kind of mp3 of your voice available on the Internet in order to join the VAC. It doesn't have to be some professionally mixed demo with sound effects and music and all, but animators need to know what you sound like.)
Resume: (optional)
Ways to contact you: (Please include at least your email address. AIM, MSN, etc. is helpful but not required.)
(copied from Kagome's board for reference)

We need samples to know if you're able to do what you claim, We're not being harsh or anything. That's just what is needed to help flashists when looking for their cast

Need a voice actor? Give me a call! I've got 8 years of experience and great vocal range.

Ok you're on the right track, you need the sample though. It needs to be hosted online like at Geocities, putfile or another free host. PRetty much just show your range in the clip

Actually I don't! Here are the characters again! I just made em jpegs because it seemed everyone was having trouble with the flash. In every RPG game, the voice acting is key. Every character must have something in their voice relative to their strengths, abilities, etc. So when I choose the people to play the parts, if I didn't pick you; please don't take it personally. I need to choose the voices that best describe the characters!

Juten
He is the main character. A good balance of speed and agility is his motive. So he shouldn't sound too strong nor too weak. Not a raspy voice or voice too deep. Not high pitched or squeeky! Try your best to fit his description and I'll be sure to choose you!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v601/da1
lilthug/Sinu_Profile.jpg

He is very powerful. High defense, high attack. Low speed. He should have a stronger, deeper, maybe raspy voice. The voice actor I had for him has failed on me too.

Sahria
She is very fast. High agility, Slightly lower attack. But she attacks twice with her turn. She is mostly very sad, quiet, and trys to keep to herself. I have one audition so far.

Brutus
He is very powerful. An old, wise man. He could have a deep voice. Maybe a bit raspy. He is 124 but he doesnt need to sound like an old man. Maybe a man in his 40's or so. His intense training has kept him young.

That's all the parts I need for now as there are only 6 characters! (7 including Raphious) It would be greatly appreciated if your email subject would just be your NG username and character name. For example: Da1lilthug - Raphious. Then inside your email you can put whatever you may need to tell me! (and your audition line of course!)

My email adress is da1lilthug@hotmail.com and by the way, this game will probably be enormous! And I might not be able to put it on NG. I'll try and put as much as I can without ruining it onto newgrounds. For the rest of the game, I was thinking of hosting it on my own website (which doesnt exist yet) but it will later when the game is complete! Thanks in advance and I wish you all good luck with your auditions! ^^

BitClock: Since when are you such an asshole? Esspecially after YOU left the VAC for several months, and then come back as if you know what's going on. Read back? You claim you did, but clearly you have no idea what kind of changes have been happening here. And honestly, you were not around the VAC long enough before you disappeared to not be considered a n00b either. So not everyone said hello back to you, cry me a fucking river...

Gwen, Omahdon, others, etc...: congrats on MMZ 2. I'll have to watch it later, but I'm sure it's pretty good (part 1 was good if I'm thinking of the right movie).

FourFingers: Yea kid, you'll have to have some samples up. Audio portal is an ok host if you don't want to deal with those free webhosts. Having a voice demo just makes sence, no flashist is gonna cast you in a role if you haven't proved you can record, or even act to begin with. And no... there's no money(or any compansation besides credits) involved.

VAC: We're having our album wrap party tonight, so no chat for me for like the 3rd week running. I could do it tomorrow though (just an FYI if you are debating a Sunday chat Elli). Sorry guys... wa~wa~wa~waaaaaaa!

FuryofDaxe :Ha, it's only too true about the High School Drama thing. I mean, you try to get away from it, but trying to clear yourself up only makes it worse. I guess it's best to be avoided if it can't fix the first time.

I feel really crappy right now. I was going to do some voice acting when I got home but then I found out from a friend of mine that my high school drama teacher died of a heart attack a few days ago..... I can hardly believe it... I saw him only a few weeks ago, he was in high spiris, his sense of humour still as sharp as ever....

He was quite stubborn... I just can't believe he's gone, and I can't stop crying right now... this is the first human being that I truly knew that has died.

I'm in a really shitty mood right now and there's not much anyone can do to cheer me up.

It might take me a bit to recover, so I don't know if I'll be able to finish that challenge in time. But I'll make it eventually.

FourFingers: I was trying to find this one post... a flash artist was looking for someone who could totally pull off a Mario voice. It might have been in the VAC Forums so check that out.

The one audition that is Mario related was posted by shiftyshift:

I'm busy with a flash quickie, nd i need summ good quality voice actors.
It's a flash bout yoshi, Baby mario, nd a homey called Busta.
So i need 2 different male voices.
If ya can help me out, please mail me at shiftyshift@gmail.com (A.S.A.P)

Definately check it out, 4F! And everyone else, of course.

VAC: Just so you have it all at one page to look at, the past few auditions open (that I saw or copied, for that matter) are as follows:

wacky_wade_rox:

Characters: Hippie + Monkey (calls for a squeeky, high pitched voice)

Hippie:
- Huh looks like we're roomies man.... Hey monkey are u taking a dump in my bag
- You little barstard <kicks monkey up the ass>
- But that means I only get a small part of the room oh man my shoes aren't gonna likes this one bit

Monkey:
- Um... yeah <giggles>
- I got dibs on this half of the room <pees all on that side>

MajorLatte (Wes Breden, Director):

Characters: Pilot, Co Pilot, Crewman, Store Owner, Bartender, Soldier 1, and Soldier 2

ASAP (As he asked this around the beginning of this week to be done within a week or so)

Contacts are listed below:
Producer: Phoenix Jason classic_ninJa@yahoo.com
Company Administration: specialforces_productions@msn.com

Strong Female or Male Character Needed for a part as a Mercenary. Contact mayasclaw@Writing.Com if interested.

Send a zip file to ninjachicken@hotmail.co.uk if your interested in being in the new game, Dominion

Characters:
+Knight (Preferably posh, upperclass Brit accent and generally calm)
+ Archer (Pretty boy LOTR Legolas type. Young and calm)
+ Calvary (Extremely proper + posh. Say lines very carefully. Say lines smoothly)

Knight:
Yes sire
Awaiting instruction
At once my lord
Right away master
They shall fall at our hands
Prepare for battle!
Ive been defeated... (dying)
Forgive me master... (dying)

Archer:
Uhu?
Yes?
Okay
Im on it
Ill take care of it
Afirmitive
Ahhhhh (dying)
Oh dear (dying)

Calvary:
Yes my master
Calvary reporting
Moving
Pressing on
CHARGE!!!
We shall conquer them!
Sorry master (dying)
Im not going to make this one (dying)

Be aware this director is a busy guy and that he says his thanks in advance.

Also, REMEMBER to be working on your admissions to the VAC CHALLENGE Oct. 1!
+ 2-5 min long
+ Have characters from different stories, games, etc.
+ Fiction
+ Have one gender opposite of you
+ DO NOT POST EARLY EVEN IF YOU FINISH EARLY!

Anyways, I hope that helps somebody. it took long enough to type, copy, paste it all in.

Justin/BitClock: Sorry! I didn't see your hello back there. I usually don't read 3 posts back or anything at all. At most one. But yes, ALLO! to you too! ^.^ We haven't talked in a while. Thanks for trying to help me out way back when and I hope those flashes have worked well.

Ha! Unless you wanna drive to LA like RIGHT NOW. My band has (finally) finished the new album, and we're having a rooftop party/BBQ to celebrate. ***SHAMELESS PLUG WARNING*** The album sounds and looks awesome! It will be availible at cdbaby.com and on itunes within a month. Until then you can still find our first record on both, search for "The Neon Calm".

Kai_Ren: My condolences on losing your teacher. My principal dropped dead sussenly of a heart attack when I was 10 and it was hard. I had spend probably more time with him than any other student (because I was ALWAYS in trouble). But it is part of the life cycle... blah blah, I'm cliché....

Elli: Yes, tomorrow would be better. Let's hope it roxxx once again. We can talk about the challenge with more people, try hard to avoid nerdy video game related discussions, and hopefully have some more Walken on Lithgow action.
