I liked it, even if it was 10 seconds long :P
The only thing I could critique on is that the voice was ahead of the lip synching. Maybe it's just my computer, but if not then it might be that you have your sound set to event. This means that once the keyframe with the wav or mp3 is activated it plays through despite whats on the keyframes after it. To fix this, you just click on the keyframe that has the sound and in properties select stream. It plays the sound on each keyframe making lip synching a lot easier. I hope that helps...

VAC: Yay I'm back! I had some computer problems as of late so I didn't get to even check up on things. Anyway, I have my dad's $400 mic hooked up and I'm dieing to try it out. I think I might be missing a jack, but I'm pretty sure it's all there. I'll finally have a new demo for everyone to laugh at :D

Aimi: Kawaii. ^.^

Okay...well...I had the members of my soon-to-be college anime club over and lets just say we were VERY RANDOM and VERY LOUD for our Ranma 1/2 fandub meeting. I uploaded our clips so you can see just how random it can become when people get together to "voice act". XD

Hello. I would like to be a member of this club.

I've done some voice acting before. So yes, I'd love to join.

Because. You. Suck. Honestly, you don't bother improving and it's getting to the point where people want to drive bricks into their ears?

Seriously. Haven't you been listening to the advice people have been giving you? No, of course you haven't. Do us all a favor and learn a nifty little thing that was taught to you in first grade: reading comprehension.

It ain't a megapost, just a mini one.

GrantM: Honestly, you should know the answer to this without asking. Weren't you saying before about how much your samples sucked and how much people thought your samples sucked? And now suddenly you're back to this clueless state again. Are you acting this oblivious on purpose or is it simply a knack you've picked up from somewhere?

In any case.... People are being praised for those clips because they're doing those clips for fun and have a natural exuberance which is infectiously entertaining. Your clips are still very much within the formative stages, where people will politely (perhaps) critique and tell you what's wrong, but nobody's going to break out into song over having heard your samples.

Here are some of the highlights (or lowlights if you will): You don't have particularly interesting scenarios in your samples, you have a one-note tone to your voice, your attempts at acting are shallow and obvious, you have a strange pattern of breathing that breaks up your sentences giving rise to..... strange..... pau.... s.... es where there should be none (all of this have been mentioned before and many times). You'll need to do a lot more work on your articulation and all of the aforementioned problems before people will listen to your samples out of anything but morbid curiousity and misguided pity.

Please read Elliair's advice on page 288, it's certainly one of the least sarcastic reviews of your samples you'll ever receive. Consider her words CAREFULLY and then act upon them. Listening to advice is one thing. Actively following that advice and improving yourself is another thing completely. Don't get the two confused. There might be hope for you yet, but the way you keep trying to jump the gun seems a little too needy. Stop making a fool of yourself with these random, inane posts, put your nose to the grindstone and get to work. Complaining about how things aren't going your way gets you nowhere.

-MinimaN-: Not sure if the hag role is an open one, but if it is, here's my audition:
http://homepages.ihu..n_hagmcdoogleaud.mp3

If it isn't simply disregard!

Grant you are a great kid. But you're going to make yourself sick like this. I mean, I'm not the best, I'm gonna be going through my voice to decide what I'm good at. So you sound like a girl is what I believe you said? It don't matter what you sound like. When I talk normally I sound like a twelve year old or something young enough. Anyways, like I have done in the past, I've worked for what I have. A good voice comes from the heart and soul, don't beg for it. You have talent if you desire it, but you must find it within yourself.

PS: Grant I also read what you wrote back on 288. "I only suck because I lack acting and vocal training, hopefully once I get those I will be good". One word my friend, you won't need it. Never say "I only suck because." It's the biggest sign of weakness. Skill comes from within. Hated to repeat myself, but since I read it, I had to bring it up.

You misread the post. They are very important. All VA need training. Robin Williams had training. David Hayter had trianing. Michael Ironside had training. Mel Blanc had training. The VA's for Teen Titans had training. So did I. So will you.

You could get years of training, but it's nowhere near the talents that can come from your heart. Everyday, if you wake up and say to yourself that you will be a great VA, you will be one. Training helps improve, but voice and talent comes from within.

GrantM: ...shut up about not getting praise. Shut up about sucking. Shut up about not having any voice training. SHUT UP PERIOD, and listen. Look at my advice on the previous page. You know, the one where I took 15 minutes to explain to you nicely on what you need to do and improve from those samples you posted. Read it over. Two times over or more, and get to practicing. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Don't worry about us and what's being said to us and not you. You don't deserve praise on your VAing right now. We won't give you praise unless you show that you're actually good. Nikki is right, you do suck, but you know what could really help you? By actually improving god dammit.

Complaining won't get you anywhere. STOP doing it. If you continue to complain instead of LISTENING, IMPROVING, AND PRACTICING, you can just get the fuck off my internet. Seriously. I'm trying to be nice and help you, as was everyone else, but you ignore what we're saying to you, and you continue to be a burden upon us. Just do yourself a favor and LEARN TO LISTEN. Thank you.

Kroth: Nope, you didn't miss the chat. It's today. 6pm PST/ 9pm EST.

Grant, Elliair doesn't mean to be rude, but it's true that you shouldn't complain and ask to be praised, but wait for when you get it. Lets say you're Jim Carrey. When he was young, his family was poor. To help his family, he used talent. Talent which came from his heart. His love towards his family. Anyways, after years and years of going by his heart, he became very respected. In your case, voice act from your heart. Be dedicated to it. One day you will be respected a lot. Remember your voice can be a gift, if you can use it. I believe in you.

I'm not entirely sure that this 'club' is still open for business or what-not since I couldn't be bothered reading all 290 pages up until this point, but I'll post my info and maybe/hopefully get a sample into you guys before long.

- Screen name/Nick name
Nayu

-Gender
Male

-Age range
13-40. Though, I'm most convincingly ranged in the late teens or 20's

-Actual age
17

-Specialties
The polar ends of voice acting. I can either be extremely funny with my wording, serious and un-wavering, or eerie and distorted as hell. Well, actually, I could do everything inbetween too; being that I'm an actor as it is and have had some experience. I have a slight stutter, but since it's voice acting and not live acting, it won't be a problem.

-Resume URL
o_o; xMilk_in_a_bagx@hotmail.com will get you everything you want to know outside of what I've posted here.

-Example(s) of your voice
Hopefully when I re-hook my mic and download a decent recording program, I'll edit in some samples.

-Ways to contact you
As posted above. xMilk_in_a_bagx@hotmail.com. Feel free, I'm usually always around.

You must use the heart of the voice! Just like yugi used the heart of the cards! If you believe in your voice, and believe what you can do you will draw out that perfect tone to do your perfect voice, in any case if your at a voice acting audition and your opponents tone has an attack of 3000 and your voice is a wimpy 2500 then your dark magician just got owned.. Dude chill it was a joke, i fully believe that if you put your everything to any of your work it will be vastly improved. And on that note, plenty of people still watch Yu-Gi-Oh, otherwise Cartoon Network wouldn't have picked it up for its prime time line up

I don't know if I'll be able to be around for the chat tonight, seeing as how I don't have Yahoo messenger on this computer.

I plan on tweaking my mike a bit to stop those breathing pops and once I've done that, I'll be posting my official VA Demo, which will include every voice of mine that I can think of off the top of my head. Of course, it won't be my only voices.

Oh, and I think I'll try out for that old hag as well. Are you looking for an old woman or old man, because I can do both.

And I didn't quite understand that part about the "Erm's". Do you want them in different tones as well, and are they seperate from the original line?
