I understand that but I feel I should be a last resort as a Japanese speaking VA, seeing as I'm starting my 3rd year in Japanese only this year... so that's why I'm not emailing him... but if he should need to call upon a Partial speaking Japanese person... go ahead and give me a ring ^_^. TESM: Yes but if you want to really DROP an accent, you have to take speech classes for proper speaking, not acting or storytelling classes. I know one thing down here in Boston, casting agencies shun the "boston accent" and tell people to take speech classes so it doesnt slip out during big auditions unless thats what the role calls for.

not really. heh, I find being able to talk clearly with my mouth full of food is both rude, and a long while of hard practice. It's how some of the great greek orators would trian their voice. with pebbles in their mouths and attempting to speak clearly with that in their mouth. I'm the same way. I think of most things with latin pronounciation, and taught myself to rid myself of a chicago accent, mostly, with VAing. I talk with it, but i like it.

Okay here's the situation:
You've been doin Voice Acting for "X" hrs straight. You've accidentally reached you deadline so you have to finish. Your voice is getting scratchy or dry, and you need about 30 min more of lines.

What do you drink/use/imbibe/ eat/consume?

My personal favorite is warm berry tea with a teaspoon of honey.

For me, just regular water works. If i go and prepare something really nice for me to drink, i think i won't go back to recording until another time... *lol*

This should probably be saved for a rant, but it is SUPER lame to cast someone and then give the parts to someone else while they are away on vacation after they specificially mentioned they'd be away on vacation.

That wasn't directed at anyone in this thread (I don't think this person goes on Newgrounds). Has anybody else been faced with this problem?

Diction is ever so hard when you have to say a lot of things to an imaginary tune and add a lisp :P Such as this Duck But ever so much fun.

Hello, Im Paolo and Im working on a major animation in 4 to 5 different episodes...... I need voice actors, my cartoon is about Mafia its is entitled "La Bella Mafia" and I need some voices.

voices availbele:

Big J: he is the big boss (godfather) only has 1 line
skinny luciano: he is the godfathers brother in act one he has 3 to 4 lines but more in the rest
Marciello: he is a messanger, he has about 2 lines.

anything with caffine will dehydrate you more. that's a bad thing to do because it coats the mouth and throat. I would reccomend staying away from any of that stuff while voicing. afterwards is ok.

I mean, I drink a coke before I run, but when you use your voice, that's no good.

I'm personally alergic to caffeen, so the berry tea I use is non-caffinated....I've peronally never had red bull, but doesn't that have caffeene too?

On the note of messing up one's voice before a VA job...My vote is Milk and Milk products.
