i suppose I'm not as hollow with this as I think. But i feel bad sometimes that I'm taking away practice or roles from people who need them... a very small portion in the back of my head.

oh well... I'll still do the best I can.

I need a recording of all of Red's lines. I will post the diolouge below. I would rather get the recordings in parts or individual line and sent to snowtemplar356@gmail.com. I need Red to be kinda like a punk teenager that is friends with the other character, Snow, but as the story continues, he relizes the plot of the story is... off.

Snow- Hey Red, I made us into a cartoon!
Red- That's great Snow! So what's the storyline?
Snow- Story...line?
Red- You know, the plot, the story, the whole prupose of this cartoon!
Snow- Oh a plot! Yes, it would be nice to have one, wouldn't it?
Red- You are a freaking moron...
Snow- And the moral of the story kids is Red is a shizo gorilla.

It's a short, so not too many lines. I just need someone to play Red, I got Snow covered.

I use Audacity. It's free, and good, so long as you don't try noise reducing with it.

Audacity is a great program, and it helps to have good mic work.

I hear that there still is a freeware version of Cool Edit Pro, wich has better noise reduction in it.

The "Way to expensive" program is Adobe Audition, which has the look and feel of Cool Edit Pro, and has alot more Bells and whistle and some excellent Noise reduction tools...the downside a $250 pricetag.

Now for my question...What kind of Mics do people use?

I use a computer mic (the ones that usually come with the computer when you buy one). Or, just my laptop, if I'm too lazy to hook up/find my computer mic.

I, however, have a bunch of expensive karaoke microphones and a headset laying around. Just too lazy to hook them up and use them. Or find them. My laptop and computer mic are working fine for me, anyhow.

The stick type thing that should have a round base, but my one doesn't... Makes it easier to hold it and my lines come out better.

As for downloading Audacity:

Windows: http://audacity.sour..net/download/windows
click the Recommended download "Audacity 1.2.3 installer (.exe file, 2.4 MB)". Also be sure to download "LAME MP3 encoder" under Optional Downloads. So you can save as MP3 instead of Wav, using the Export as MP3 command.

Yes, I have quit the VAC, but out of late night boredom I stumbled on the board.....and I really need to say some things to "GrantM"

Ok...first of all, the reason people at the VAA started to not like you is because of how many times you mentioned that you WERE going to be a pro VA for AVA and Funimation......dude you cant just throw that around.

Most people that want to get into this business....dont even make it past the starting gate. There are millions of actors in the world and guess what, out of those millions....one becomes a Brad Pitt, or a Tom kenny, or a Rob Paulson. You cannot sit there and say you CANT WAIT TO BE A PRO VA......its not a game, it takes hard hard work. And by hard work I dont mean you stay up all night and make a demo...Im saying you go YEARS without ONE job. You can't just overnight become a pro VA.

Ill tell you soemthing, I have auditioned for around 10 feature films....iv'e been in one...as a bit part (lots of you know of what I speak of) thats over the course of 5 years. Aside from the independant films I have been in... that was my FIRST paying acting job, and it was 1000 american dollars. guess what, that doesnt pay the bills.

and i listend to your demos and you really need to start using your god given accent and stop forcing an american one. You sound very very very forced. Everything you say sounds like you are trying extremly hard to hide your accent. STOP HIDING IT. If you want to CHANGE your accent....you need to take speech classes (not acting classes), or just go with your normal voice.

It just gets me personally angry when people just SAY they are gonna be famous or they CANT WAIT to be a pro something when they havn't even left their living room. Now GrantM, don't take this personally, but that is all i have seen of you so far reading back a few pages.

I have come to this humble topic to search for the voice actors. I need two voices for a flash cartoon that I am making called Review with Steve and Wump. 2 Male voices for, obviously, Steve and Wump. The Script/Screenplay/Storyboards are in a comic that I will show to potential voice actors. Contact me via AIM/E-Mail/ or on this topic. Alas, this is my first flash and will only be at a running time of around 2 to 4 minutes. No farewell because I will be sticking around this topic to see if there is a person or persons who want to be part of this.

very true. Speech needs no class, although good. You should be an eloquent story-teller, be talkative and extroverted. I am, I never took a class, but practice speeches, and learn to love to read. It helps. A lot.

Dear Kagome,
I recently aquired FoxTel (Australian Cable Television) and was able to catch an episode of InuYasha, to my dismay i found your impression of Kagome sounds very little like the actual character. Also i found that InuYasha sucks and watched something else halfway through. Overdramatic Trash.

If you want to join please fill out the requested profile. Unless you already did and I'm just out of it, or something.

Pigpen: SO FUCKING WHAT if I can't sound like Moneca Stori. She's ten years older than me. If I supposedly don't sound *anything* like her then why did so many people at Anime Evolution tell me I do? We all have our own opinions so get over it. I have only met one person, ever, who can sound similar to Moneca, and she is 24 and is now going into anime work for Ocean. Kagome is not an easy character to play. By the way, did you know that a lot of people hate the English dub? (I like it, but that's kind of in the minority). You contribute nothing to this club with your constant hate posts, so grow up.

But Miroku-sama, in amateur voice acting you often DO need to contact people if you want a role, because it's easier for them to just write you back and they don't have to keep checking the forum.

Attention VA's

This is the director of "HeyBear Inertia", and I have an important message/update for the following VA's:

- KagomeHigurashi
- Aimi
- Dingo_Shock
- Drake
- Edwyn
- (someone who has MH as their name or something? sorry I don't know your name.)

> The message is:
> I am writing the manuscript now, we have just finished publishing and revising the story/novel, and now were moving onto the script. This script contains all your dialouge. I am sorry that we are taking longer than expected, due to copyright issues and editing errors - we have taken about a month and a half since we last contacted you about this. Please try to understand the situation. We will be getting you the copies of the manuscript's by mid September and no later! Some of you might be a little anxious or frustrated at this, but it won't take us any longer.

> And also a reminder that these people are still in the production, and that the reason we aren't contacting you is not because the project has failed or anything.

Again if you need me, my email is: liquidbluex_zero@hotmail.com / or company email: specialforces_productions@msn.com, Also I have another announcement below for all other aspiring voice talents...

- Joel Fabisch, CJ Solis, and me (the Design Team); are looking for some new talents. If you want your voice to play as a soldier/guard/civilian/hostage or any of those small parts, then please contact us. It is fair pay, and you benefit being the voice of one of those cameos. We need about 30 random voices to play as these.
