Aimi- You have a very pretty voice, and good singing. ^.^ I prefer the stuff on your website as it seemed a little faster, but good job.

This Club Seems To Be Too Caught Up In Other Affairs To Acknowledge A Job Offer.

(anyone interested in doing some voice acting look up a few posts for my offer)

Sorry :( I'd help you out, but I'm female, and the cutoff for my boy voice range is about age 12... I have a friend who's interested in getting into voice acting, you could try IMing him at Chase McCaskill.

K_Chan: Having a resume was never a requirement, because someone who's never voice acted before will be unable to make one. However, it seems as though now is the time to officially stop caring about every new profile that is posted here.

Darra_Fahy: If you're not getting any replies through this thread, maybe try handpicking someone from the NGVAC Roster.

I'm sorry, I may have quit but I would still like to tell Aimi that.. she has a very beautiful singing voice. I really enjoyed listening to it. Very sweet, nobody will ever be able to do it just like you. You are a very talented, and I hope to hear more songs. You really have to post this stuff. Hell, make a Vocal Club, Singing Club or something. Sorry to take up space in your boards.

Welcome to to the Newgrounds Voice Acting Club!

This is a place where animators can find a wide range of voice talent for their projects, and aspiring voice actors can converse, post their mp3s, and audition for Flash movies. Voice Actors: Please note that an uploaded voice demo is required in order to join. (Excel even says so.) If you're having trouble figuring out where to upload or where to find a recording program, you can find tutorials at the NGVAC Roster, compiled by Omahdon.

FOR VOICE ACTORS:
Please post the following information in order to join.

Name: (can be your real name or your screen name; however you prefer to be credited.)
Gender:
Age Range: (Not how old you actually are, but what ages you can believably play.)
Specialties: (what kind of voices you do best)
Example(s) of your voice: (Please note that you MUST have some kind of mp3 of your voice available on the Internet in order to join the VAC. It doesn't have to be some professionally mixed demo with sound effects and music and all, but animators need to know what you sound like.)
Resume: (optional)
Ways to contact you:
Any other information:

*Remember: Your voice demo should be uploaded to the internet. Don't just say "Email me for samples plz k." A list of free hosts can also be found at the roster.

FOR FLASH ANIMATORS:

If you would like to select your voice talent by hand, you can find a list of voice actors at the NGVAC Roster.

Or, you may post a request in this thread. Please include the following info:
-Name of movie and brief summary of what it's about
-Describe the characters you need voices for. Gender, age, voice type, etc.
-Where to send auditions (This is important. If you leave no email address in your post or profile, interested VAs will have a hard time contacting you.)
-When is the deadline for sending in auditions?

Here is an example of a VA profile:

Name: Kagome
Gender: Female
Age range: 5-35
Specialities: Anime voices, some Japanese.
Example(s) of your voice: http://rei-chan.net/animedemo.mp3 (see resume for more)
Resume: http://www.rei-chan.net
Ways to contact you:
Email = nodoubtgirl@gmail.com
AIM = X Nimroddess X

well... let's take a look at Aimi's clip.

a very nice clip. I wish the music didn't compete for volume with you, but the singing was for the most part fluid and nice. very well done.

and well darra, danke.

Well I'm back again...and after all these crappy delays I released my game
http://www.newground..m/portal/view/255088

I'm a bit disappointed with the fact that only 3 people finished the game or played longer than 3 seconds, but its alright I guess. I should have known this was coming.

Page 253, and I haven't checked the thread since 228, implying that I have 25 pages to go through and scour for roster applications. Oy. Maybe I'll come back to do this next week. Then again, hardly anyone uses the roster, so why should I really bother? Ah, heck. Just one final update for the heck of it, I guess. I think I'll institute a "email me your profile" rule to make it easier on myself.

And erm.... *waves* Hi. Still alive, stuck back in university again.

>Kagome-chan
Thank you for listening! And also, thank you for being the first one to comment on the clip! ^_~
It's weird... because i used the same accompaniment track for the remake... (o.O;;;
i had lots of recording problems with that one... (voice getting too loud and getting distorted, pops on explosive consonants, etc >.>;;;)
Maybe it's the way i sung it the second time that made it seem to drag out or something... hrm.

>Darra_Fahy
i'd like to try out... though i'm female... *lol*
Expect to hear from me soon. ^^

>AudioTransmitter7000
Thank you for your kind words! ^^
While i was listening to the playback, though, i thought it sounded like a Karen Carpenter impersonation... ^^;; (i like her, so it's actually cool that it tured out like that. *lol* )
Thanks again. ^^

>TESM
Thanks for listening! ^^
i must admit my mixing skills aren't good yet at all... >.>;;;; i need to learn the right way to do it. Plus, i'm working on a Digital Multitrack Recorder which seem to make the sound come out all right, but i could never seem to get the levels adjusted right. >.>;;;

Do you think that problem would be solved once i start using a computer? (Using softwares like Macintosh's Garage Band and such?... i was contemplating getting an iMac but decided not to. ^^;;; ) i guess i can google for some tutorials online or something... >.>;;;;

Thanks again to the people who listened to my clip! ^^

Oh, I meant as opposed to the other songs on your site. The singing was still really good though!

So yea, I haven't had much chance to record new auditions lately, hardly even had the time to complete roles I'm already cast in. Tomorrow perhaps...

Omahdon: I was sorta thinking maybe it's time to rethink the concept roster. You can see the previous page for my post on the subject... but you'll probably not read this post... I'll just send you an email.

Aimi: Listening to the song now. It's actually a pretty good mix for someone with little experience recording/mixing. And by little experience, I mean someone who does it casually, and not professionally trained. The clips and pops don't sound like they come from the vocal, but actually the right (and sometimes left) channel of the music track. Maybe clipped when you recorded those onto the multitrack from a cd or mp3?

You will find mixing easier on a computer, esspecially since you can draw in a lot of the moves as automation. Then you just bounce the file and watch it mix itself. And adding compression/EQ/reverb etc. will be a lot easier too. If you have any specific questions about recording, feel free to ask me. I am a professional audio engineer and I would be glad to help out if I can.

This may be out of the question, but I would like.. I would like to re-join the VAC. Sure, I did say some things that.. maybe.. weren't very nice to anyone here but I'd like to take it back and try a clean start. It's okay though if you don't want me here, I wouldn't blame you.

Email Omahdan with your info and he might be able to help ya out. In his post right above yours he said he wants people to email him instead of posting to make it easier on him. As for re-joining, I don't see why that would be a big prob.

Hello fellow voice actors (argh that sounded bad),
I am in need of someone for a few voices, well not really voices, just a few stuff from someone with a decent mic and a decent english! The voice acting won't take more then 5 minutes to do and you will of course be credited!
If you're interested, please contact me at puzz@lostsolution.net or add me on MSN at thepuzz90@hotmail.com, or as a last resort on AIM at IthePuzzI

Well, thanks in advance!

well Aimi.. i think just a simple lowering of the volume of the music would do it some good. because the voice is the point of a song(that has a voice), and the music should not compete for dominance in the piece. just lower it a bit.

Hmm, das is odd. I tried to post a reply on TESM's thread on the cheap forums where he posted scene 4, but it said I couldn't. I will copy/paste my post:

Very good script, well written. Plot and characters develope, and at this point you really start to connect with the characters, you feel sorry for Emily. I can understand why the voice acting is so extremely important, this has the potential to be a very powerful story if acted well. The characters are very well developed and have deep personalities, voice acting will be crucial to fully bring that out. The dialog, just like the previous scenes is well written, so much so that I think just for fun I'll record some of Andrew's lines (even though they might have to be re-done later). This will be a fun cartoon to act in. I read this at work, whenever a customer came in I'd stop, but as soon as they left I was back to reading it, I enjoyed it. Keep it up man!

thank you very much! i am working hard to give the best script I can, and I'm glad you saw the complexities of the characters, primarily andrew and emily.

thanks so much.

Me.. no.. I don't need to be on a Roster or anything to be in a Voice Acting Club. All I need is a Microphone stick with a can of Cool Edit Pro and a pocket full of Voices. Just coming on here, reading "peaceful" posts and somewhat thinking that every person has a happy face. Makes me proud and makes me want to give it another effort.

Peter Griffin: A hobo stick, with a can of beans and a pocket full of dreams.

You may rejoin ONLY on the following condition:
Respect everybody in this club. Yes, everybody. If you don't like someone in this club take it up with them privately. There are plenty of members in the VAC who dislike each other, but we don't make stupid posts looking for reasons to make fun of them.

That said, if you are ready to be mature enough to deal with other club members in a more professional manner, you may rejoin.

Well spoken, K. I agree. Not that I've been the most professional member of the VAC but I still agree. We need to get along, we need to be kind and professional with fellow VAC members and producers alike.
