I am making a big project that will need many va's when i am complete and I am sure I will propably use All 3 of the girls that were arguing because there all talented. On that note I'd just like to say that I think Esca and Elliar were wrong to drag Kagome threw the mud like they did because I don't think they liked her even before this happened. You are all competeing for roles and this club wasn't made for making friends. I would hate to see such a good club go down I mean this is the most important club on ng's if you ask me. I am not a fanboy of Kagome but she should never have to apologize because of her ambition. Most hollywood actors had to do alot of things to get on top hell ask lindsay lowhand :} If 2 va's audition and there both of eqaul talent and one is dressed normal and the other is dressed like the character there auditioning for who do you think is gonna get the part? Sad fact of the matter is that geting parts isn't always about pure talent like it or not. Why because producers are human can easily be swayed. Also if Esca and Elliar ever go pro they might find themselves doing the same thing that just cruicfied Kagome for and thats going the extra yard to beat your competitor notice that I didn't saw friend.Imagine if money was involed good lord. Anyway I wish the best of luck to all 3 girls and try always to look through the eyes of others before attacking. Please don't let this club die guys it would be a real shame.

just a test that will bring gold to the top. I can see people are serious about the VAC, and I don't plan to abandon it. It will take some doing, but i'm sure this will all be flushed out in a short while, as emotion and pain is temporary. I think we can all cool down now an dget back to business, i retract no statement as I belive I have found truth, but it doesn't mean I'll cut anyone's throat.

Let's continue doing as we always do, and be strong enough to clean up this mess... quickly.

Well, on a somewhat on-topic note, my parents have been teasing me about my VA endeavors. >:( They mean it all in fun, but it makes it hard to do my best, you know? I want to be able to put more feeling and life into my parts, but when they burst in at odd times, pretending like they think I'm being killed or something, it gets hard to do that, lol. Anyone have any suggestions? :) And don't say move away from home, because I want to do that anyway, but I can't until I save up some more money. ^^;

ha, i know the feeling, to be honest with ya. my parents don't know so much, because i keep all I work on very secretive and very in the dark. even from my siblings
i usually clear out the rooma nd close all doors. I'm not that loud, and it inhibits my ability for emotion, so i do a lot when no one's home.

and yes, i do have a large bank of cliches and metaphors...

ot the right mood i should be putting off, no? Regardless, i would keep at it, parents can be.. ha ha, well assholes sometimes... but they're intitled to it, and some fun to!

Meh. I'm old enough now that my parents aren't really assholes to me anymore. :P It was something I grew out of, if you know what I mean, lol. But they like to poke fun at me. The other night I was doing an audition where I had to do DBZ-style yelling. Well, halfway through a "Makkankosappo!" they come barging in, my mom brandishing a tennis racket, and my dad holding an electric screwdriver like it was a .44 Magnum.

"We'll save you, Jennifer!" They screamed in unison.

I turned so many shades of red, it was like a Valentine's day gone horribly wrong. And when they started laughing (it was all a joke, after all), I hollered at them to get the bloody hell out of my room. Still laughing like hyenas, they shut the door and left. But it soured the whole evening. I couldn't do any more cuts that night. :P

See, my parents aren't assholes so much as they are practical jokers. And the funny thing is, I don't remember them being like this when I was a kid. 0_o It's like somebody kidnapped my real parents and left me with these cheap imitations... Anyway, that's what I have to deal with. Probably not as angsty or nervewracking as the rest of you, but it annoys me just the same.

And I am serious about it, but not as serious as most of you are... -_-; It's really only going to be a hobby - if that. Maybe if I had more talent, and had developed a taste for it earlier... but now, I already have a career as a software developer, and I have a million other hobbies and artistic endeavors competing for my time. But all that aside, I do want to do this the right way. So any help I get is always appreciated. Thanks for the vote of confidence! ^_~ I'll try to give you guys the best quality I have to offer.

ha ha, assholes is a light term, for that sort of thing i suppose. I'm not so serious as to belive i'm good enough to compete with the best, although my goal is to recognized as a high quality VA here. which isn't too likely. but to set on one 'dream' is boring to me. So i plan to be recognized in all feilds. writting, art , animation, etc.

and this is a part-time love-career sort of thing.

anything i do i give it my all, so i love doing this. so far, nothing but satisfied customers froma ll i've worked with, so i'm happy with that. you should be too, just practice and work hard. it'll show.

I idolized you, you were what I looked up to.. and you pulled something like that off? Maybe Elliair is right about you.. I don't know what to do anymore.. So what do you guys want? What's the point of your rants? Do you want it to come to shutting this place down? It'll come to that, if this doesn't resolve itself, and soon! I haven't read any of the posts you guys have alluded to, and in all honesty, I don't want to. This club isn't just about Kagome, you know. You guys are focusing so much on her, you're losing sight of the club's real purpose. Isn't it to give voice actors a venue for sharing their talents with the Flash artists of Newgrounds? It's a club that serves ALL of the VA's... not just Kagome. If one of our members does something you see as reprehensible, doesn't it sound more reasonable to take it up with them personally, rather than broadcasting your anger and emotion all over the club's thread? Honestly, it's gotten too out of hand! And I for one am very worried. :( I don't want this place to get shut down just after I got here! ;_;

I was just gonna say that. I was gone for an evening and this place is burning to the ground. this flame war seems to be over, or at least dying down. As interesting as it was to read and as necessary as it was and as much as I agree with what everyone said, everything that needs to be said, and then some, has been said. Time to move on and do what we came here to do. Any more and this fire will be beyond anyone's control, I personally don't want to see the VAC reduced to a heap of smoking rubble. Now that everything has been said and done, let's get on track and anything else that needs to be said should be done in private on AIM or YIM or email.

So, morethatnheroes: I will now read through your post, I might be interested. It looks cool, if I find a character I like I'll send a sample. Rock on, everyone.

well, as for the flames, as I had said, personally, and publically, i wish this coul dhave given more time, but what can we do now eh?

when i oined this club, an dbecame a VA in all seriousness, i though people had a duty.

to protect each other, improve ourselve sand producers each role, and to be honorable and just towards all.

this is a violation of that, and i have extensivly talked to both sides, so I know wuite a bit about this whle thing.

execution? not to my liking, a little too... emotional to be taken just at face value, but what's done is done, eh?

we will work until that day when there is a better tomorrow. Now that I know people are still very serious about the VAC, it will not turn to rubble, not on my watch. I said anything I'd join woul dget my bets effort, if this means i need to do so much more, then so be it. That is my duty, that is my word.

I hope the rest of you can say the same. We will resolve this, wheter there is a reunion or not, that's to be seen, but this place won't fall.

but I have my movie to worry about as well, and I'll be sure to give the VAC it's proper glory, or at least attention with it.

Hey people... I'm MajorLatte aka Wes Breden, and I'm an indie director and writer, hopefully future Hollywood one. But anyways.. I looking for some really talented voice actors. I made a remake a story (novel sized, not a short story) I wrote a few years back, and my team: SpecialForces Productions decided to make a game based on that story.

Now this game is kind of like Metal Gear Solid in the sense that it's like a movie but it's actually just a game. Kind of like, movie-quality storyline. And we need not just voices, but really really good voices. Something to match our cinema like game and make it life like. We have some really good programmers, artists (I'm one of the animators and character designers), and video editors, such and such. I'm going off topic, but anyway. We just need the voice talent.. Please give us a shout, and please tell us your info like what your good at and your specialties. We'll give you a short copy of any chapter in the story or manuscript, and record or practice the voice. If you could, please give us a recorded copy of any sentence you've voice-acted and if we like what we hear, your hired. This is a paid job, so you will get cash money for voice acting for us.

Here's what we need:
-Plain monotoned robo-like voice
-Chinese accent english voice
-Calm old person
-Young 20year old rookie soldier kind of voice
-Female computer-like voice (we'll have synthisizers)

and that's pretty much it. I'm sort of a voice actor myself, but that's not my real talent.
I can do east-indian like voices, and other weird stuff I sort of just made up but sound cool.

Holy shit ... I got on the forum today and noticed like 4 new pages. I thought to myself, "What could've happened? Tons of more VA's joining? The VAA members all joining at once?"

Nope. I guess I shouldn't really comment on this, 'cause it's kinda in the process of being buried. I read the stuff in that other thread though, and I felt touble was brewin'. I just didn't think it would explode into this.

I seriously think there's like a shift on earth or something ... everything is changing it seems these past few days. I've been going through lots (me and gf broke up on Friday after 2 years) and other things. I hope things get better for all of us so this thread doesn't get shut down. If it ever did get shut down, hopefully it would be due to inactivity, rather than a horrible fight and then it just gets locked.
