Tweekit
I'm interested in a trying out a for a role.
You said it's gonna be something along the lines of dry wit, correct?
That I know I can do.
Anyways, send me an e-mail at a_h_m83@hotmail.com with some lines or something, kay?

And as for everyone else, I forgot what Tvs_slayer e-mail was so get over it.
Besides, I didn't hear you rip on him when he said he be back in town last week and his experience at work.

This probably doesn't really concern anyone right now as I have very few projects on the go at the moment, but I will be out of town and away from the computer from Wednesday, the 11th to Tuesday the 18th.

So I will unavailable for any projects or auditions. Just letting you all know.

Hey, people. I'm making a movie series called "What if Master Chief played Multiplayer" and am in need of a Master Chief voice. All you need is a good voice, and either an XBox Live or Computer Mic. I can record outgoing sound that's on my TV on my computer, which is why we can use the XBox live one. Here's an example of the graphics of the movie. It's the title screen, with Master Chief and Zanzibar's windmill behind him. If you think you have a good voice and have one of the requested mics, send me either:
If you have an XBox Live mic/account: a friend request with a message with you saying a quote of Master Chief's. My Gamertag is xxSpaceCowboyxx.

If you have a mic for your computer: a sound file with your voice on it of a quote of Master Chief's.

My email address is EvilKefkaStudios@gmail.com and my AIM thing is kickinass2themax. Send me the file from either.

Looks good. lol I would've been happy with just an idea, but this is great! I'll be making a few myself and post them later. I'll take a poll to see what people want. For now I'm going to use the slogan "Choose NGVAC! Because your voice probably sucks", it seems thats what everyone is into =P
I really like yours too Omahdon "Thar be Voice Actors!" I get to sound like a pirate when I say that! =D
Thank you everyone who posted ideas and samples!

Tweekit: Awesome! I would gladly give you thoughts on scripts and stuff. Tell me when you send something though becuase my e-mail blocks all the important stuff I want... it's evil >.<;

Elliair > Hey, thanks for the feedback :) glad you enjoyed it. And yea, I'm planning on getting me a better one made, but between school, work, music, and mum gettin the computer, it's a little hard to get a full length clip made, but dont worry, there will be one on the way ;)

cheers

I do wish I could do voice acting. I always fancied myself good at doing voices, but I lack a microphone, as well as any sound editing software that might be a prerequisite. Ah well, maybe one of these days I'll crawl over to Future Shop and pick a decent microphone up. Until then, happy voice acting!

Mullet_Fish: Nice to hear you interest. Whenever you've got yourself a microphone, be sure to come to the VAC. New talent is always welcome (as long as you have a demo).

KitsuneSqueak: Speaking of new talent, welcome to the VAC Kitsune. Glad to see you have samples. However...they're not really all that great in quality. The voices are well done, but you sort of need to clean up those recordings with some audio editing software (Audacity is something I would recommend) and maybe get a bit closer to the microphone (sounds like you're far away in some bits). Also, the fact that they're so short makes it seem like a very good idea to mix these all down onto one, instead of seperate files, and also adding in a few more voices to show off that wide range that I'm sure you have. I'd also suggest using another file hoster, because Geocities isn't the best place to host your files. And also because I wasn't able to view that last clip.

In conclusion, come back when you've improved your stuff, and if you have any questions or need advice, etc., don't be afraid to ask here. :)

KitsuneSqueak I thought the Genis Sage one was very well done, especially the "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" part! =D

I can't really give you any comments on the first one though, as it's pretty hard for me to get anything from about 1 second of dialogue. The Izayoi one seemed pretty good, but again way too short, and the "Yuki" one leads to a 404 error. =(

My recommendation is to say at least around 10 seconds (or 2 or 3 sentences) worth of dialogue in each of the voices you can speak in to show them off a bit more, like you did with the Genis one.
As Elliair said, you could also combine all your voice clips into one large file.

With those changes I'm sure you'd make a fine addition to the VA Club Roster, as you definitely have talent! =)

Eeek. It's so quiet in the VAC.

Well, to start up conversation, anyone notice the decrease of "Looking For Voice Actor" threads on the flash forum? It's really weird. O.o;

Thanks for all the E-mails! The only positions that I'd say are taken are...

Tweekit (Male, teenager) - Frogs
Narrator (Zany narrator) - Omahdon (I love this clip so much... I'm listening to it on repeat as I type this)
Truck Driver (Gruff adult) - Klepto

Otherwise, the following positions are still open...

Docmonster (Male, teenager) - Looking for something more casual for this part. Omahadon or Klepto's casual voices come to mind, but feel free to mail me if you want to try for this part.
Dog - The lines "AARRRRRrrrf....?". This is when the dog is sent hurtling into the distance. Mail me if you think your up to it, I'll send to the script so you can get the settings right.

Niko (female, teenager) - I've had a few requests from female voice actresses asking for parts, and this is the only one available at this point. I've received one sample for this part so far. I want to make sure everyone has a part. If you haven't gotten a script yet and you want this part, send me an E-mail.

These lines are still open, but I have older clips that'll suffice.

God - ...it's God. C'mon people! Mail me if you want the script for the specifics.

Thanks for all the E-mails people! We have some talented people, and everyone who's sent me a sample, or clip so far, it's much appreciated. If I missed anyone who tried out for a part, and I forgot to mention, let me know!

'Nother look at the main cast, if anyone's interested. Instead of redoing Tweekit (center) I'm just modifiying him. Niko (red head) is being overhauled as a female. DocMonster (left) will remain static.

I'm covering for the audio mods in the audio forum, thread and newbie wise, while they're off doing their audio thing.

Since there are about five or so Voice Actors a day in the other forum, I would like to establish a VAC thread specifically in the audio forum for redirectional purposes, and I'd keep it a float as long as possible.

This looks cool. I've always wanted to do a little voice acting. Problem is, I don't know how. That, and I think my voice sounds stupid. But if someone could explain how, I guess I could give this a shot.

Oh, and also, check out my new sig pic that Ell made for me! =)

How do you voice act? Oy. Much explanation is needed to answer this, and suprisingly enough, I'm too lazy to type it all out...but here goes the basic explanation:

You record lines given to you by flash animators. Pretty basic, eh? Okay, maybe I'll give you something a bit more in-depth:

In order to voice act, you must have a working microphone (any decent type of microphone will do), an audio editing program of some sort (Audacity is recommended, if you've nothing already), and determination (you'll need this in order to get roles and improve your performance and such).

A good start to voice acting would be making a demo reel of your voice acting talents (see the one on my signature for an example). A demo of your voice is also needed to join this lovely club of ours. Once you've got this demo of yours, you can both: 1) Join the VAC and 2) Have a better chance of getting flash animators to choose you for roles.

In order to get roles, you're going to have to contact flash animators who are looking for VAs (they sometimes make posts here on this thread, in the Flash forum, or in the Audio Forum). They won't contact you themselves unless you let them know your contact details, see you up on the VAC Roster, or you're a popular VA here on NG. So it's best to stay active and tackle down these flash animators, or you'll get no roles coming in.

Once you get your demo posted I will check it out, I do need alot of VA for The Blue Crews first up coming flash, "SNK vs Capcom: Ultimate Bout" soon to come, we don't have a date for that, but we need lots of VA, and we are going to buy a microphone soon too. So hurry up with your demo.

Yeah I can do a Master Chief voice. It's in my demo if you'd like to hear it and stuff. I was him in a flash called "Halo for Retards" as well, though I don't have the link.

Okay, standings as are. Kagome' and Elliair are currently leading the pack on playing Niko, and it definetly won't be easy to choose between the two. If nothing else, I'm planning on introducing another female character next time 'round. Anyways, standings are as they were before, though I have been blessed with a few more people and the promise of more audtions. Well, that and the ol' MC Huggies offered the kind offer of art and animation.

What swell people

Just like to give my regards to this club - it's really made life easier for me. Hopefully, this project'll turn out as I hope and even more of you can help me next run.

Best regards and thanks again!
