I think I'll skip on the regular megapost and just reply to people's roster applications instead. Replying to week-old stuff is bound to get me nowhere, I think. I need to reply more often, so people would retain some memory of what I'm replying to instead of jabbering blindly at the air. In any case! Profiles. And the stomping on people's dreams. Because that's what I do.

wesdood (130)
PROS: Your samples are now in the more manageable format of mp3s, and they're relatively free of background noise.
CONS: Mic puffs, breathing on the mic, the sound volume goes up and down like you were juggling your head back and forth from the mic, your acting and voice imitation abilities are questionable though I can imagine you in any number of "bunch of teens in a sitcom situation" type flashes.
VERDICT: Try again. Aim the mic away from your face a bit so you're not speaking directly into it, control the head jiggling (I reccomend getting a metal neck brace that clamps your shoulders and neck into an immobile block of concrete) and try to get a script to work with instead of adlibbing badly.

Joseph_Collins (130)
PROS: Nice array of voices and acting. Voice samples are all available in one easy to download zip. I like.
CONS: Quality goes up and down and left and right and sideways. Judging from your better quality clips though, you're quite capable of not breathing into the mic, mic popping and background noise. That just needs to be applied to all the samples instead of a few.
VERDICT: Once you've sorted out your quality issues with some of your samples (or recorded new ones), welcome aboard! Your profile will be added to the roster later. You might want to think about putting up all the roles you've played on the page you set up, since the roster doesn't actually do a listing of roles. That's what your resume is for.

Revenge_Is_Fun (131)
PROS: Once again, you have a wonderful sense for character acting which I admire greatly. Your samples are also now in the more mangeable form of mp3s.
CONS: You still have quality issues regarding mic puffs and breathing noises. Angle the mic slightly away from your face when recording, so that it picks up the sound of your voice without you directly breathing into it. You have very little, if any, background noise, but judging from the sound of your samples, you've applied just a little bit too much noise filter/reduction, resulting in some loss of sound clarity. Have a talk with HollywoodSound regarding cleaning up your samples, he is available at unitysound@gmail.com
VERDICT: Once you've sorted out your quality issues with some of your samples (or recorded new ones), welcome aboard! Your profile will be added to the roster later.

Daeleo (132)
PROS: A very nicely done array of ethnic voices and various stereotypes. Background noise is a minimum and the file format is mp3, which is always nice.
CONS: Several mic puffs and some breathing noises hurt your sample clip, but otherwise it's all good. Angle your mic away from your face to minimise breathing into it.
VERDICT: Once you've sorted out your quality issues with some of your samples (or recorded new ones), welcome aboard! Your profile will be added to the roster later.

Klepto_Bysmal (133)
PROS: Nice array of character voices with different reads and styles.
CONS: Some reads came off a little flat, but it's more than made up for by the wide variety. A little bit of volume distortion when your voice got loud. Nothing particularly major.
VERDICT: Welcome aboard! Your profile will be added to the roster later.

And now, because this megapost profile review could not possibly end without one:

Tystarr (135)
PROS: Nothing
CONS: Everything
VERDICT: If you want to join the club, check out the How to Join? section of the Newgrounds' Voice Acting Club Roster. It'll provide the details for how to join, as well as help on how to fill the requirements. PLEASE DO NOT POST A PROFILE WITHOUT A SAMPLER UPLOADED SOMEWHERE FOR DOWNLOAD. DO NOT SAY "I'LL MAKE ONE LATER" OR "I'll GET A MICROPHONE IN THREE MONTHS" OR "EMAIL ME FOR SAMPLES PLZ, K?". GET A SAMPLER, HAVE IT UPLOADED AND LINK IT BEFORE POSTING YOUR PROFILE. THIS IS NOT A NEGOTIABLE POINT. THIS MESSAGE IS IN ALL-CAPS AND BOLDED FOR A REASON. SORRY IF IT SEEMS REPETITIVE, I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE THIS POINT WAS CONVEYED PROPERLY. Finally, this is a VOICE ACTING club. It is not a I CAN DO ALL THESE VOICES THAT I DON'T HAVE TO PROVE I CAN DO BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A MIC club. Don't try and join if you don't have a working microphone. That's just plain stupid.

Was that really necessary to post, wesdood...?

Anyway. Welcome back Omahdon! It's been awhile. You missed some stuff at the last chat, including Hobbes' friend (Depp_x I believe) doing some unusually accurate imitations of your awesome voice. It was funny. >.>;

And yes, RyanChampion, please have a sample/demo of your voice. Check out the VAC Roster for more info.

ELLIAIR I HAVE REALLY BAD NEWS!!!! ALL OUR STUFF IS GONE!!! THE SRICPT, EVERYTHING!!! So we are starting from the beginning, with coming up with a new idea. Well now we are using my computer, to make the flash movies and we are using new sprites, but from a different game, but I would still love for you to voice act. Well I did get to see the last script our writer made... and it sucked... So I'm writing the script. I will update you about the new project by e-mail, sry if there was any misunderstanding, or if you are confused at all. If you or Kagome have any thing you want to say about this that is mean like, You people are stupid, or get your crap together man!! I can take. Sorry again.

BlueAuraProductions: Angal Chupacabra's demo, as well as everyone else officially apart of the VAC, is found on the VAC Roster.

Shock_Dingo: Speaking of demos, awesome job on that narration demo! It was very good.

Uh. I don't want to be a bitch, but just one favor guys...

Try not to post things that could be said on an instant messenger, or something, 'cause a few of these posts are really unnecessary. O.o;

And I'm fine today BAP, but your post was also unnecessary. Thanks for asking, though.

I have an undying need for voice actors. While I investigated the site at the top of this page (excellent idea for a club by the way) I wasn't completely sure if the forum itself was the correct area to make a formal request for voice actors. I need both men and women - the scripts huge (by flash standards... roughly 10 pages, give or take some rough ideas being thrown in and out).

Back to the point. If you have any vague interest in assisting a lowly writer/ animator such as myself, please post it here or send me an E-Mail. For obvious reasons, I'll have to mail the script to you if your interested.

It's a comedy, fairly witty in my opinion, sarcastic, dry wit heavily influenced by Family Guy (flash back humor, so to say).

An example of the art I'm using is below. That's the main character, but I'll be redoing the art.

Thanks! I appreciate it! However, the demand for a woman is paticularily large at the moment. However, this isn't do to any sort of disdain for the paticulargender, I just didn't believe I could actually get a female voice actor. The original script did, actually, have a girl, and I have a female character layout lying around. I'm interested in bringing a girl as one of the main characters again, it requires very few changes. If you have any sort of talent, you can expect a fairly large role.

Just checked out your resume' and sample. Extremely impressive. I'll send you the original script and a modified copy as soon as I get your email.

I suppose I should of asked this in my original post, but if anyone here is, or knows of, anyone who'd like to contribute through either art, animation prowess, or just a creative hand with the writing, lemme know. I have every intention of continuing the series provided this first one doesn't wear me too thin. Once again, lemme know! Thanks again!

|.o) *pokes head from behind a wall*
i have missed the VAC chat again... (;_;
i don't think i'll have time to do anything until convention season/work hell (a.k.a. summer vacation) is over... i hope i can still get roles like this. ^^;;;;
Apparently i'm not very used to message boards that updates every 10 minutes or so. (x.X;;;;;

i'm attempting to construct a couple of costumes for A-Kon (in less than a month), another one for AX (July), and three more for AWA (September), plus am working 6 days a week. ^^;;; (i hate my day job /T-T )

Anyway, enough ranting. ^^;

>Tweekit
If you're still in need for a female role, i'd like to audition! XD
Will be sending you an e-mail as well.
here's my VAing sample page in the meantime:
