Ah, that's cool. I'm always willing to help so if you need any on the animation, I'm here.

As for the VAC Chat recordings, you all need to wait a bit for that. They came out rather huge in file size and so somehow I need to lower the sizes in order for audigy to allow me to have them hosted on the awesomeness that is Mobiuz. So i'll try to get this done early this week.

Oh yeah, this coming Friday I believe is when Will and I plan on having another VAC Chat, which will be an improvement from the last-- which would mean that it'll be at least 2x more as awesome than the first chat, and the first one was pretty kick-ass.

If you're interested in this second VAC chat, you know what to do (if you don't: just IM me via AIM or whatever). Thanks.

Okay, first I gotta say that the explosion in the number of posts after a chat is quite amazing. Which means we should have those chats less often, because it just means I have more posts to reply to afterwards. Not like that's going to stop the chats or anything, but I'm just saying. @_@

Anyway, that chat was fun to be in, glad to see a whole lot of people turned up for it. Congrats to Elliair for hosting the event and for everyone there for keeping it running as long as it did! That was very fun, indeed. Especially when we started talking about people who weren't there behind their backs. Oh yes, we did talk of them so! Yes, talking with feverent "behind-their-back"ness! Wouldn't YOU like to know what we said, haHA! SO in order to make sure we never have a chance to talk behind your back ever again, you'll just have to show up. No excuses.

Besides there was plenty of homosexual AKSHUN in dat room. From both sides of the equator. Yeah. You know you like dat HAWT GURL-ON-GURL/MAN-ON-MAN AKSHUN! And there was singing. A lot of it. Sometimes with original lyrics that perverted the song to whole new levels! And then there were the midgets covered in maple syrup. ON FRIGGIN' FAMILY, DAGNABIT!

And now, my commentary on the chat out of the way (hope to hear what clips there are from your recording, Elliair) let's move on to.... LE MEGAPOST NUMBER 36 (or thereabouts)!

Isca: Are you gonna put that thingie into your siggy. You know. The thingie that you were talking about putting in your sig after hearing it said out loud in the chat. You know whatahmtalkin'about. *wink wink*

Frogs: Sounds like you had a rockin' time in Las Vegas, woo! O.o And now you're off to see The Pillows too? You are a very busy travelling man, it would seem! And as you may have noticed.... POST EXPLOSION from the chat. Huge post explosion. You really missed out on something there. Something MAGICAL. Like a mournful song of regret of male bonding lost and found! Sung to a theme from Zelda64, remixed. Yeah. Awesome.

Elliair: Actually, according to my time zone the meeting was at 11:30AM on a Sunday, so that was just fine for me, to be honest. O.o A bit after the fact, but the next time you have a meeting, you can increase the time gap between my time zone and everybody elses by a further one and a half hours. Might make setting times easier or.... something. I'm sad to hear some of the recording got lost. That makes me sad. :-( Aw. But perhaps some things were better lost in the sands of time. Like when we started talking about who we really wanted to kill on the NGVAC and drew up a top ten list, along with methods of imhumation. Woo! That was crazy. Wow! Glad I'm not those guys, haHA! @_@ If that don't make you paranoid I don'ts know what will. Anyway, great work on capturing what you did anyway! That's some really awesome work there. Hope to hear it when it's uploaded, huzzah!

MC_Huggies: Yay! I am a great hobo! I'm not sure whether to be proud or partially disturbed by that statement. O.o *decision on whether or not to beat you senseless for calling me a hobo, pending* Wait, the hobo part is cursed? Does that mean I've inherited some kind of centuries-old curse which will like.... Kill me in seven days if I don't make a copy of the script and give it to somebody else to read who'll then be killed in their dreams by a madman wielding a chainsaw with a hockeymask?

El_Shamro: Well, you made it to the chat just fine so it appeared. How's your character? Still alive and kicking or rather deaded with no ressurection spells handy?

Masquerade_X: So is the Pretty Face manga still being translated then? Been trying to find new chapters but with little success.

KagomeHigurashi: Oh, the chat was the best thing ever. EVER. We got visited by a time-travelling gay, Jewish Hitler. It was THAT awesome. And that wouldn't be the flash that Gamedisk is working on, is it? Cause it has a similar style of opening with stick figures and such....

Shock_Dingo: You have surely missed one of the greatest events of all time. Surely, this NGVAC chat will go down in history as one of the momentous occasions that shook the world: Next to the birth of Christ, the invention of the steam locomotive, and the magical fusion of peanut butter and chocolate in Reeses' Peanut Butter Cups. It was THAT special.

vashtsakared: Your typing shook the entire chat. O.o Yes, instead of speaking to us through the mic, you let your fingers do it for you! It's almost like sign language. For blind people.

Bl00D_LINE: It's a little bit late at this point, but for future NGVAC meetings: Download Yahoo Instant Messenger and then add Ellair_Lel to your buddy list (or whoever is hosting the chatroom at the time). Watch out for the time and day the next meeting is on and then log on to Yahoo Instant Messenger (YIM) when it's time (be sure to know your timezone to turn up at the correct time!). IM Ellair_Lel (or whoever is hosting the meeting) with a message asking to be invited to the chat, and before you know it you're in. Voila.

TVs_Slayer: Hey man, I have a 56K modem too! We're like.... brothers! Only I didn't seem to experience as much lag as you did apparently. O.o And well, I don't really mind putting that NGVAC ad you made on the roster (and replacing the flash "animation" that's currently there) as long as it's under 1MB large. If it is larger than that though well.... I'll think of something. Just put it somewhere for me to download or email it to me ONLY as a last, LAST resort because I bloody hate having to download huge email attachements with a 56K modem.

Hobbes_The_Prince: Hey it was a legit question! O.o I just didn't know TESM was building up with an instrumental section first before going at the whole improv singing!

Shalamaseskia: You gotta do that song man. It might not be nearly as cool as when you first improv-ed it (because there's just something fun about hearing someone make up lyrics on the spot), but there's something to be said of being able to record and add effects in post. I'm thinking.... Reverb. Lots of reverb. And possibly distortion. And a whole lot of other filters. Just add to the "k3wl" factor of that song. O.o

All right, I've decided to make a seperate post to address the people who have tried to submit a profile in the last couple of pages. Most of you got the right idea, but need a little work with your samples. Or actually HAVE a sample. Which is a requirement and has been so since page 29. I mean.... We only post that a sampler is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED at the top of every other page on this thread and it's only stated quite emphatically in the CAPITALISED BOLD, AND RED text in the Want to Join? section of the roster. What more can we do? Well I know what I'M going to do. I'm going to go away and cry tears of bitterness. Big HEAVING tears. Of bitterness. And then I'll critique the samples of people who've actually submitted one.

4Elements: Okay, you've got two nice voices there that I'm sure would work well in many comedy pieces. On the otherhand, you're suffering from a large amount of background noise (I can even tell you had the TV on for one of the recordings), your sound quality is iffy and you've saved in wav format, which is huge and unwieldy and not as nice and compact as an mp3. Try to record in a quiet an environment as you can possibly make it and grab yourself a recording program like Audacity to help clean up your samples and convert to mp3. More info can be found in the "Want to join?" section linked above.

-YO-: If you want to join the club, check out the Want to Join? section of the Newgrounds' Voice Acting Club Roster. It'll provide the details for how to join, as well as help on how to fill the requirements. PLEASE DO NOT POST A PROFILE WITHOUT A SAMPLER UPLOADED SOMEWHERE FOR DOWNLOAD. DO NOT SAY "I'LL MAKE ONE LATER" OR "I'll GET A MICROPHONE IN THREE MONTHS" OR "EMAIL ME FOR SAMPLES PLZ, K?". GET A SAMPLER, HAVE IT UPLOADED AND LINK IT BEFORE POSTING YOUR PROFILE. THIS IS NOT A NEGOTIABLE POINT. THIS MESSAGE IS IN ALL-CAPS AND BOLDED FOR A REASON. SORRY IF IT SEEMS REPETITIVE, I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE THIS POINT WAS CONVEYED PROPERLY. Finally, this is a VOICE ACTING club. It is not a I CAN DO ALL THESE VOICES THAT I DON'T HAVE TO PROVE I CAN DO BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A MIC club. Don't try and join if you don't have a working microphone. That's just plain stupid.

barrab: Errrrr.... No. Try again. You know when you DOWNLOAD something from the internet it goes unto your harddrive? And how your sampler is currently on that harddrive? And how things on your harddrive aren't automatically accessible to other people around the world because it's not on the internet? Well, you're going to have to UPLOAD your voice sample unto the internet for people to be able to DOWNLOAD it. Check out the "Want to Join?" section of the roster for details.

meneldil: Well, your sample is pretty clean and I think your accent would be a fascinating addition to any flash looking for proper Eastern European accents. Admittedly, all I'm hearing at the moment is a single voice being pushed into doing other voices that aren't so different, but I'm sure that is something that will improve with practice. All I need now is somebody elses review to consider adding your profile to the roster. So somebody else review! His sampler is over here

Aralo: Nice acting, bad quality sample. Like my advice to 4Elements: grab yourself a recording program like Audacity to help clean up your samples and convert to mp3. You might also like to attempt more than one voice or go up and down in emotional intensity to show your range.

DeadDP: Nice acting, bad quality sample. Like my advice to 4Elements: grab yourself a recording program like Audacity to help clean up your samples and convert to mp3. You might also like to attempt more than one voice or go up and down in emotional intensity to show your range.

>< Sorry I missed the first chat. I got a lovely surprise date from the boyfriend though, so it was worth it. ^^'

As for a chat on Friday. I'm good for Friday, except I have classes from 9:30 am until 5 pm. And I usually don't get home until 6 (or 6:30) Central time (7 or 7:30 Eastern).

However, If it happens to still be going on when I get back from class, I could always pop in in the middle. >>

And, uh, I think I have a Yahoo IM all ready. (Batgirl673) But, I need to double check that one. LoL

Just a note, to everyone who signed up for Robotech flash, Please head on over to The Robotech Flash Public Forum and register. Juno only allows 3 MB of storage, so I have lost alot of E-mails. Thats why I created the forum, and got a Gmail account (witch rules BTW, 2 GB of storage!)

E-mail me if you run into any problems.

I'm sorry I missed the chat as well. Sounds like a grand old time was had by all. Of course, I'm not sure how it would've worked. My experiences with YIMs conference feature is a lot of people trying to talk at once, which wasn't very good. ;) So if I do come to one, I'll probably just sit in the background making the occasional quip off mic. ;)

Hey everybody.

i'm working on the VAc song again since it was sadly lost due to incompetent programs. and i have a few questions about it
should i add the lesbianism in it?
should i try to make it mutiple voices singing at once at the ending?
should i have talking in the begining and in the middle...

Booyah MF'ers! I'm back online! And I've only got 3 hours to enjoy it... well, I figure that i'm here and can download all those neat little samples and singing demos, I figured I'd just do a giant review post as opposed to an needless five paragraph babblefest.

The_Zodiak: Demo-Very nicey done. Good use of mood in your demo. However, some of the voices seem just a bit too similar to each other to really call them seperate voices. I'd say 12 different voices with some pitch changes in the others. But thats still really good. If I wasn't such a hack with flash i could use you in a project or three. And good Kefka too, at least I think that was Kefka.

Elliair: New demo-I like it 20 times better than your last demo. Lots of range here, and not too much use of the echo pad. Good deliveries on most everything, just the opening seemed a bit tacked on to me. Good use of music for every line. Nothing was out of place. Fitting music on line readings is something that still very foreign to me. And I especially liked how you branched out from anime to other mediums. Would have been nice to hear you get a bit crazier with it though. Maybe a few more esoteric characters. All in all very good though.

Kagome: Anime demo-Holy crap. I'm just surprized to here someone do a competent impression of Sasami. And well, what else is there to say? All of the voices fit very well. This must have taken some time to prepare. I would throw in and name the characters you did, but I'm like 10 pages late... and I really wanted that Pocky, seeing as how Hastings stopped carring it here. Off the subject again. Well, I got nothing to say to really improve, maybe more dramatic samples, thats about it. Good going. Oh yeah, and as for the traffic cones, yeah, you got two at least. Now I just gotta finish it. Oddly enough i'm having a bit of a difficult time trying to make the cones animate smoothly.

Topleka: Demo-Wow, thats quite a bit of range. You can go from cute to serious to quasi cute to quasi serious with ease. I don't know what that was supposed to mean. Could use some background music with it, but otherwise althouygh its a bit too short for my tastes, its got a lot of different ideas and voices in it. And its a bit late but welcome to the VAC!

Jerma: Demo-Lots of different accents, good stuff. I bet you'd make a good announcer. The drum track in the background got on my nerves though. The voices you did near the end were probably the best. But it was a bit short. I figure at that rate you could have done at least a few more voices. The voices were crisp and well done, and the deliveries were solid. Good good demo.

Jerma again: FF Beatbox-Interesting, I'll give it that. The first bit sounded nice musically, but it kinda tapered off. Oh well, still kinda cool.

Kagome again: Singing demo-Uh, who was who? I hear two voices that sound almost exactly the same. Maybe you should consider doing an A Capella version. Cause I really couldn't hear your voice. Though the fact that yours blended in so well with the original singers voice probably says you nailed it, I still am a bit curious to hear the version you did. May I suggest headphones?

Isca: Singing demo-Yeowza. Good pronoucation and voice clarity. Frankly that kicked @$$. Though of course I can't understand a word of it cause the only Japanese I know is curse words and colors. But man that was a really good singing demo. Keep it up w00t w00t and yeehaw. I really can't think of anything else to say about it.

Sty2000: Voice Demo-A bit scratchy and slow, and some of the lines are a little stilted. The second half samples were better though. Just need to work on deliveries a little. Gotta get the lines to come out smoother. And maybe try to get rid of that background scratch. But again a bit late but welcome to the VAC!

Wow, and I've only made it through two pages of stuff here, this is gonna take a while.

Kagome once again: Another singing demo-You are a girl who really likes her singing demos! Anyway, with this one I can actually hear your voice, so I can commence with an actual review. Spot on! Wow, you could move to Japan and become a pop singer and enjoy a career of at least a month if Japan wasn't so big on one hit wonders. Good pronouciation and good singing all around. I'm actually a bit curious to hear what your english singing voice would sound like. May I suggest Lisa Loeb or No Doubt? I know those are off and random choices but thats what came to mind.

Bezo: Singing Stuff-Wow. Good baritone range. Didn't hear nary a sour note or voice crack. Opera is a diffucult thing to make sound good, and I should know. Back in middle school when I was heavily involved with singing me and a few classmates attempted a quasi operatic dirge, and the less said about that excursion the better. And with that I really don't got much to say about this other than its pretty good. W00T and such.

Aimi: First song-Sounds very lounge-y, or could be used as a quirky coffee commercial. In fact that just gave me an idea... But good melody and nice drumline.

Aimi again: Ohter stuff-Busy busy. So I really don't have the initiave to listen through all the stuff you got posted, but I did give smile a listen. Interesting to hear it sung in translated form. Reminds me of the anime scene years ago when certain studios were doing translated versions of the Japanese soundtracks. Tenchi Muyo was definately the best of the bunch. Erm, got off track... This is done extremely well, and all I can say is keep them up, ande good luck with the CD demo!

Omahdon: Singing mess-Well, yeah, its a little random. But I still got everyone beat on the terrible singing. Its a good effort, but I shall never be toppled! Never! I told you that I won't stop, I thought I told you that I won't stop! Interesting story in there somewhere. The panting at the end before the high note was just a bit too creepily authentic for me though. Overall, not bad, but all i gotta do is bust out George Micheal again and we'll see who the master is...

I'm running out of characters here... Must do another post...

Okay, back to it! I may have to take a nap when this is all said and done...

Bezo again: Anthem-Well, can't say I've ever heard that before... or if I ever really wanted to. But here it is... hm... again, interesting. At least its in key... I just don't wuite know what to make of it right now... I really need to take a nap...

Ever prolific Kagome: Narration demo-Wow, again, very nice. Good range, good voice acting, ah, I've said it all before. The usual expected quality. The narration is quite competent though, and yeah, good stuff.

vashtsakared: Nirvana Demo_Thats gotta be the most bored sounding Nirvana cover i've heard in, well, ever. The singing wasn't too bad, you may just need to put some emotion into it. And get rid of that evil, EVIL background noise. Still, I think my cover of 'Never Gonna Dance Again' has set the bar for terrible singing.

Jerma once again: Horse thing-WTF?! I'm backing away now... well, whats there to say, good bass and nice little melody... just the subject matter chilled me to my very soul... I'll never experience joy again... thanks.

Jerma one more time!: Christmas-y thing-Thats very interesting. We've all been there. This was a very enjoyable skit. Could have used a little more funny funny, as it seemed to end too abruptly, but it was still well made and well executed.

Aralo: Sounds pretty good, good deliveries. Maybe could stand to do more than one voice though if you can. Range is a big selling point to people. But anyway, got no problems with it otherwise, and welcome the the VAC.

DeadDP: Voice sample-Yep, sounds like a 12 year old. But thats it. Could do samples of the other voices you stated you could do and post them as an attachment to the sample you currently have up. And there is quite a bit of background noice. But anyway welcome to the VAC.

meneldil: Voice demo: Sounds pretty good. This club could always use more accents, and your deliveries were good. Maybe you could try different voices though, it didn't give much of a taste of your range. And different lines could help too. But overall I'd say it wasn't too bad, and is worthy of being put on the roster. And welcome to the VAC!

Ah, and I think mercifully that is it. But I suppose while I'm here I could answer a couple questions.

Omahdon: Actually I'm on broadband, which is why I wasn't saying much during the little chat. 56k makes me weep inside. Glad those days are over for me. Broardband rox! Whoooooooooooooooooooo! Okay, I'm finished.

I was gonna answer another question but I forgot what.

But uh, Bezo, are you going to send the voice lines for the ad or no? Just wondering of course.

Now I shall have dinner!

But dude.... you missed reviewing mine? And I was so looking forward to you getting your connection back so you could hear it. In fact I haven't eaten or slept much just waiting for what you have to say....

Well aparently I "make Troy sound like he's 30", so I was fired. Nothing shameful about losing a role for sounding too manly.

... at least this is how I'm coping.

***I will be leaving in less that 24 hours with my band for our East Coast tour. I will once again miss the NGVAC Open Chat night (if it is held Friday). Also, I won't probably want to read 20 pages worth of posts upon my return. Elliair, be prepared to write a summary post next Monday, since you seemed to enjoy those. Or not. Or just whatever. Anyways, I'll miss y'all while I'm out rocking.***

-Frogs-: Rock on Frogs! Rock on. Bring some bras back that get thrown on stage ... wait, what am I saying? Anyways, have fun and ground that mic ... don't need anyone flying through the drumset. Althought I would pay some good money for something like that.

I got those VAC lines in the e-mail. I'll have them done by tomorrow :)

Admittedly, all I'm hearing at the moment is a single voice being pushed into doing other voices that aren't so different, but I'm sure that is something that will improve with practice. All I need now is somebody elses review to consider adding your profile to the roster. So somebody else review!

Since I was in the same spot as meneldil once, I felt compelled to give a review... Seeing as how I never got one =P
I thought the quality was really good, especially compared to mine (which I'm working on) >.<;
I agree with Omahdon on not hearing a good variety of voices, but I can only imagine that it would be a little more difficult to do different voices in another langauge. With practice, it should not be a problem. I do, however, think that your Polish accent sounds great and it could be very useful in some flashes. I always want to use real accents rather than fake ones in MY flash.
Well, I hope that helps.

Also, I sincerely hope that a senseless beating won't be necessary Omahdon, I WAS complimenting your VAing skills... plus, I rather enjoy living =P

about the chat:

I had a good time for the hour or 2 I was there. The topics covered were.....intersting to say the least, but it was fun.

TV_Slayer: Ya nothing I do is supposed to be taken seriously. I just got bored and made 2 very simple things. I am going to make a second demo with more voices soon, but the other stuff I post is usually just for kicks.

MC_Huggies: Now I REALLY wanna see this flash thing you're working on. There seems to be some kind of subliminal advertising or something, 'cause I am actually kinda anxious.

Jerma: (Fry Voice) Hey Bender.
