In case you haven't heard the news, Wendy's founder Dave Thomas has passed away. Users are now swarming to the DDR Dave Thomas music video, which portrays Dave busting a groove to music from Dance Dance Revolution. I think Dave would have liked it. He was a great guy who came out of retirement to stand by his company to the end!

In unrelated NG news... I have updated the Pico 2 page with some fun new articles. You can find links to them on a bullet list at the bottom of the page. I have been getting a lot of flack for my Pico 2 Gameplay Demo that I uploaded to the Portal - I really wish people could take a joke. The next teaser will be much better, I promise.

Besides chipping away at Pico 2, I've been busy with some other games. Check out the recently released Mason's Bubble Blast (art & concept by Jose Ortiz) and Sack Smash 2001 (art & concept by Synj). Check 'em out! Synj and I have another crazy game on the way!

Does anyone out there work for a real video game company? I'm really interested in making games for the Gameboy Advanced (since it is oldskool 2D and all), so I'd love to hear from anyone in the industry.

By the way, which version of Pico was the original? Me and my friend are avid fans of Pico and we would like to settle a dispute. He thinks it's the school but if I remember rightly there was one before that.

No date is set in stone, but it will take several months to finish.

The order of the Pico games was this:

1) Darnel's Pyro
2) Nene's Suicide
3) Pico's School
4) Pico vs. Uberkids
5) Bear in the Big Blue House

At least, I THINK Uber was before bear... hmm... The first three are correct, tho.

I've heard some shitty things about Dave Thomas and how he treats the employees that actually work for his store. I can't watch a commericial without looking at his fake smile and thinking to myself, asshole. He should've really treated the kids that actually work at his chains alot better than he did. Oh well.

At work today, I saw that on about the second or third page of the life section of USA Today, there was a little blurb about the foresightful DDR Dave flash, and about how the 14-year-old maker's homepage and Newgrounds.com, a repository for flash cartoons, was being hit to see the cartoon. You even had a little blurb about the cartoon's foreshadowing of events to come. Neato! I also started a thread on the subject in the BBS here.
