going purely on 2004 submissions, i'd say knox for his klaymations, anticlockclock and jeremylokken for their great and numerous flash, David firth for his disturbing flash (all the best stuff was released in 2004), And James Farr for his great xombie flashes, all of which were released this year (except 2, which was a late 03 release). the best, i'd say, would be david firth, followed by james in second, then knox, anticlockclock, then jeremy lokken. I would have said Parks2, krinkles and jotandjab, but they only had 2 or 3 submissions this year.

hardcored - A truely great sprite artist with great story lines
vinstigator - Dont want to say the same thing as i did with hardcored but its true
superflashbrothers - Decline of Videogaming series and ff7 ABR truely made me laugh till i passed out
phsycogoldfish - name another flash game maker that can make a wide variety of games and make each one insanely good. To bad he doesnt have the video game offers as well although he almost did with that game where your the cyborg or whatever.

-Luis for being my favorite FBF animator on Newgrounds
-Sqeezy for being my second favorite FBF animator on newgrounds
-Needle, I love his style of art and animation
-James Farr, I love waiting for his new work to appear in the portal, his art style is amazing, his animation can use some work though
-Pako, I love the way he draws his people. I like the battered look he uses.

I guess none of these are really that notable to the NG public, just a bunch of personal favorites. On a note of who I'd say make the most notable movies, I'd put:

-Adam Phillips, he animates and draws so well
-Synj, drawing a whole game to yourself is amazing
-Needle, his Strategy Guide series is a personal favorite
-David Firth, Salad Fingers is hilarious/freaky
-Luis, his use of photoshop and drawing technique makes him a great FBF animator...

These are the five I see as the best NG flash artists, each for different reasons.

I would say Super Flash Bros is at the top of my list. His 2 "Decline of Video Gaming" movies were excellent, as well as his Another Day series. Not to mention is part in the Matrix collection I orginized.

Unfortonately Pikanjo (Perfect Kirby) didn't relase any major movies in 2004. Only a short called "Shenanigans" and a part in my Matrix collection.

Waterman also because more popular, even if I myself think some of his works are better than others. It's still consistent and shows promise of bigger things.

James Farr's Xombie deserves mention. As well as Adam Phillips work.. However, I don't place movies like the "Brackenwood " series like I do the others. Because he's a professional, and that's a diffrent type of animation quality.
