ROBOTECH COMP

hey all,

I've just uploaded a trailer for one of my upcoming projects, check it out: Sweet Bang Trailer

On another note:

As you are aware the good people of robotech.com are offering some amazing
prizes for the winning flash animations. However as anyone who has tried
to create a flash movie knows this can take a very long time.

Thistler.com (who are macross fans from way back) understand it can be incredibly
time consuming to build up Mecha so it looks half way good.

We have a few veritechs VJ's and a few battleroids. They are in still in
flash format so you will be able to alter them to your color schemes (recommended)

We do not require you to give credit and expect no rewards (even from winning
entries) - We just love our Macros and want to see some good toons !

wow. i loved those back rounds for sweetbang. it looks fantastic on how it looks like someone used a crayon to draw them.the people are too anime like. AND YOU BRLEY SHOWED SHIT! that could hurt it in the ratings. oh yeah and whats up with the sitcom series? no laugh track,nothing that reminded me of a sitcom except for the coffe/friends thing.

If they are giving prises then it should not be given to anyone but underground artists, like the Olympics - Only given to unprofessional beings - This would make it more interesting, fair, and give it an overwhelming sense of pride to the rightful winner...

true.. i'll be entering, but i really dont think i'll win, because there will probably be some animation veterans entering.. it'll just be fun to make something. the symbols r on my site for people that would enter but cant draw mecha designs.. i can't draw them at all. im hopeless at things like that. so my cartoon wont be featuring any mechs..

im hoping to see some names from newgrounds in the winner circle!

Obviously the first two names that come to my mind-in terms of mecha flash-are Jose Ortiz and the Neo Bender guy. If anyone can churn out some decent Robotech flash movies, it's gotta be them. Yo, Tom, give Jose a break on Pico 2!

thanks for the nice words about the sweet bang trailer.. don't expect the expected.. the story will warp not that long after this scene (which i will expand slightly in the final version.. but not much)

about sitcom.. well,, sitcom is a series i make if i start to get bored with flash.. theres no real effort gone into them.. mostly an afternoons worth of work.. the canned laughter is a good idea tho

WATS UP PEOPLE!!!!

Last week i submitted a flash called gangsters takeout
and it was pretty neat.. but its my first flash and it wont be that good if u see it.... to search for the flash search for gangsers takeout rather than (gangsters) because i spelled gangsters wrong when i submitted it... now im making the part 2 of gangsters takeout and im wishing everyone would like it

ack.. i posted the .fla files as flash 5.. and some kid downloaded it and it didnt work with flash 4,, so he went on the bbs at robotech and said i had a virus,. if u hear this. its not true.. its just that u need flash 5.. but im going to prepare a flash 4 version for those of u who wont change over (i admit,, flash 4 was so much friendlier to use.. i hated every second of learning flash 5, but u get used to it)

I know what you mean, but now that I am accustomed to it, I have forgotten how 4 was formatted. I probably would have a lot of difficulty if I tried to go back to it.
