Many people like to paint me as otherwise, but just ask anyone who has met me in person what they think of me.

ok. Thanks. That was simple. I was just wondering how many people you would probly have to go through and take b/p from.

Too bad that it was removed. If we can oblige people to view at least a part of a movie, then the admins wouldn't be obliged to track down some users and remove their pts.

Unless of course a timer is included.

It was unfortunate that it was removed, but new ways of fixing the problem are being explored. The thing is, James can only do so much. So for now, the warning is in place, and the current system will be strictly enforced, until an easier system is worked into place.

Timers are one of the ideas that was mentioned for how to solve the problem.

With the history of our run-ins, I wouldn't put it past him.

What in the fuck are you talking about? The only "run-in" we've ever had is when you contacted me on AIM to say that someone had "stolen" your account. When in fact, you had changed your username, neglected to back it up on another account and someone had "taken it away" from you when you weren't actually using it. That isn't theft. You can't steal anything that isn't in someone's possession already. I explained all of this to you already, but it's like talking to a brick wall. You're not taking any of it in.

As for the "Someone voting on your behalf" - that is not the case. Those are the votes you cast. I have no reason to make up images or statistics just to put a downer on your "reputation". You attempted to call Wade out on whether or not we were logging statistics and that's why I posted that image.

You should vote what you think they worth and not approximately the same score as they had before your vote. O_o

That's not what I call a problem though.

He's talking about uj flashes.

Ya i understand what you mean. Usually those rushed votes do not change the score anyway, but okay, good point.
I just wanted to know, i do not do it often, but i do not want to do it one day and then get burned for it.
I always watch the UJ movies, but smetimes you watch it for 10 seconds and see a stick man walking around in thin air and know it is a 0.

It's not as bad as mass votes but you should vote what you think it deserves. Why can't people take their time to vote? Anyway, if you voted many times on overtime then you would only have 1 vote to do before depositing the experience.

They do change the score but it won't necessarily appear on your screen. The score of a submission isn't 2.55, it's more like 2.5496 or 2.5513... well, you know what I mean. You are changing the score unless the submission had a score of 4.0000 and you voted 4...

I just wanted to know, i do not do it often, but i do not want to do it one day and then get burned for it.

He's tracking underjudgement voters right now, your situation doesn't deserve a punishment.

mmm I usuall vote 1 for those unless it's total crap. As long as you watch it and judge like it should be, where is the problem?

Will you warn those who are abusing the system before you take serious action and remove blam and save points? I know I am guilty of hastily voting on occassion, but if I'm violating the rules, I'd like some fair warning, because I will change the way I go abou things if I know it's wrong.

After voting on as many movies as I have though, it's pretty easy to tell which movies are going to be good just by viewing their preloader. Consistently, movies with a poor pre loader, or perhaps none at all, are going to blammed; and movies with poor author comments or again none at all are almost always blammed as well. It doesn't take a genious to figure out when to vote a 5 or a 0.

Yep. I noticed this admitted trend when viewing the forums about a topic concerning some "Star" animators (one of whom admitted that he would have to "cheat" to get an animation protected): the people agreed the animation was crap, but they just couldn't turn down a Protection point.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that some entries deserve a 1,2,3,4 instead of a 0 or a 5. Start watching the entries and give them what they deserve, secure your blam/protect point isn't as important as voting fairly a submission.

Indeed, everyone knows the tricks but that's NOT how a movie should be judged, it should be judged as a whole.

Hey I got an idea.. sorry if its on the 10+ pages of posts, but perhaps when you see the video for 30 sec you can start to vote on it? So like the voting panel will show once you watched it for 30 sec..or 1 min! Just a suggestion.. :o

I used to at least give pooer entries a 1, and ones that weren't exactly the best a 4, but lately I have gone to that 5 or 0 thing, mainly because it's pretty easy to tell when a movie is going to be saved or blammed. Why vote a 3 or a 4, when you can give it a 5 and practically ensure its protection? The same goes for bad movies. After you see so many, you can figure out if a movie is going to be blammed (at least most of the time) so why raise its score by giving it a 1 or 2, when you can just slam it with a 0 and make sure its gone? I understand it's better to be fair to authors and give a score based on the quality, but if you already are sure its not going to survive, theres no use voting any higher than a 0. Sometimes I have voted poorly on a movie which ends up surviving, simply because I thought its quality was low and that there was no chance for it, but in the end it stuck around. Those times I feel guilty about hitting it with a 1 or 0. Otherwise, it just makes more sense to vote extremely high or extremely low, because there is hardly ever any middle ground with submissions.

Yes, this is true, but I always feel like I'm wasting my votes if I give a bad movie a high school or something, because most times I can already tell if its going to survive or not. Sometimes I give really crappy ones a 5 because I liked the content a lot, and I'm hoping that maybe people will vote according to how much they laughed rather than how good it looked. Those votes always go to waste, because the movie gets blammed hardcore by everyone else, and then I not only don't get to keep that movie around, I also lose a point. That's just wasteful.

I am sorry everyone but I would like to retract this previous statement. I have never known anyone else more aware and noble in their voting upon submissions new and old. Eventhough he has asked me to take this blatantly false accusation back I am also doing it of my own free will because I now know it was wrong of me to jest at his expense. This man who I have wronged has never voted incorrectly. Even if it meant losing those vital points, he voted exactly what the flash submission deserved, against the crowd but going with objective fairness. This man is not guilty and is a prime example of what a Newgrounds viewer/voter should be. Thank you for your time. Take care everyone. Merry Christmass/ Hannukah.

At one point, I just stop caring. I could stay here all night and bitch with them now that I"m home from work again, or I can go out and have fun and not care what they have to say.

I'm choosing to leave the spin zone.

You have already been warned when I made my front page post. If you did this in the past, I'm not going to come after you. If you do this from now on I will. I'm not going to warn people a 2nd time after I have already warned everyone.

haha, how many times was that answered. Just check for any improvement, if it's the same, vote what you voted.

If it has some improvement, judge it again and vote what it deserves.

Believe or not, some blammed flashes which are submitted again were improved.

If you try to make us look like idiots in public with baseless accusations we are going to tear you apart publicly.

Now, let it be known I don't hold grudges and if you stop taking cheap shots at me, and other NG admins, I will forget this and have no issue with you.

I guess I shouldn't be worried about this safety measure... I usually take a few seconds (5-15) before blamming, but sometimes the graphics are just TOO horrible. (beyond salvation, even if it has the best plot ever, it won't save the movie)
I wonder if Wade has ever went into my log to see if I've been bad. (probably)
