just so everybody knows, i just fuond out about the lear flash part of the portal, so any info other than that would help (I cant believe i didnt see that part of the portal earlier)

Well i started learning flash by just mucking around with the program. I basically taught myself flash and in about 4 months i produced my first game. It was so crap that im surprised it wasnt deleted. Anyways, muck around with the program. Go through all the different menus so you can find out what each one does.

Im sure you'll be able to find much more. Just search for things like "Flash 5 tutorials" (or flash 4 if you have that version)
