Smileys a good start ?

Here's a few things for users to look forward to that may be available in the Retronin market.

- Smileys (including old RG smileys)
- Buddy Icons
- Site theme packs
- Alternative site banners
- Lottery/slot machines!

We have a long list of potential items prepared for beta, so start collecting now =]

I've gotten the new profile pages up on Retrogade, and you can add more details to your account in the General Information section of the Edit Account page!

Themes are now live! If you click the Themes link at the top-right of the page, you'll see that there's now a black button as well, for the new Black theme we've implemented. You can change between the normal Green theme and the new Black theme using these buttons (if you're using Firefox, you can also use the View -> Page Style menu to change your current theme). Your preferred theme is saved as a cookie, so it'll always be remembered on every page in Retrogade! If you see any problems with layouts or with the Black theme, let us know!

Not sure what the best way to get ahold of Quikfox is but I have a business proposal for him.

Everyone should check out SKs LED model! It's a nice combination of technology and art.

He explains it better here, there you can see a render of the finished model and a lot of the process of making the LED circuit board.

I noticed when I saw the forum, and also from the fact that none of the links worked.

I've taken the site down for now until we get the hosting back up in February 2012. I plan on starting working on the site again at that point. See you guys in two months!

I am being completely serious by the way, I am happy to host it for free... It's a shame to see the project go down for the sake of it needing some hosting when I have a VPS I bought and currently have no use for :).

As for anyone else paying attention. We haven't given up on the project, some minor set backs before we get back into it full swing.

Actually, I have some bad news. Some asshole snagged our retrogade.org domain name when we let it lapse over the holidays. At least when they grabbed the .COM it was because it had a decent level of traffic, this one just doesn't make any sense. Worst of all, it's just been parked on GoDaddy for almost two months, so they're not even using it, just squatting. (Unless it's someone I haven't heard from, but whoever did it paid extra for register by proxy to hide their identity so it just makes me suspicious...)
