I was thinking about how the DS can go online and thought that there next system will go online. Since come on, if your gonna have a handheld be able to connect to the internet why not a system.

Nintedo has tried online before this generation and has experienced the server costs and doesn't want consumers to pay on a monthly basis. They will go into online next gen after they figure out a cost effective way to do it, after all they can't risk as much money as Sony or MS. They are not against online, they are against the costs.

That my good sir would have been bad ass. Maybe if there is a next Metriod they will make it online. Also Mario Kart, I mean all games that are mostly for two players should be online. Because what happends if no one is around you can play with, well bordom that is what.

I think that Nintendo should devise a system where the server merely allows you to find other players to connect to, and willing participants can run the servers on their own computers. That way, it's a free, no upkeep, decentralized service. There will be more than enough people willing to run the servers so that if any crash, the slack can easily be picked up.
