Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night
It beat out FFVII for the best music of the year. That and Alucard totally owns Sephiroth. He's got class, style, some serious kick ass moves. Imagine being able to turn into poison mist and choke your enemies to death.

I have one thing to say to you. Learn to spell. Also, you reminded me of something. No one is leaving any cheats for their games! Come on, be like us true Australians and help out your mates and other randoms by dropping some cheats by the forums. Do it. You know you want to...

maybe Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge, or Timesplitters 2, or Freelancer. in each, its really hard to get bored, and you can almost always do something new.

'Maniac Mansion'!
Why, you ask ? Well, playing it with my best friend was one of my earliest memories, so it gets nostalgia points. Although 2D, the graphics were wicked, graphics points! It featured awesome music that was different for each different character and playing without stopping.
You could kill all the main characters, you could kill a hamster, then, you could give it to someone to eat, or give it to the guy who had it, and he kills you.
That, and the inane plot was immense.

The Final Fantasy series.
Anyone can just mindlessly blast away monsters, but it takes a strategic mind to do it with style.

I would like to say something to you Mister smart-ass. The only reason I put "fav" instead of favourite is because I couldn't put enough letters in the topic to spell favourite. And I had a feeling this topic was done before and that's why I mentioned that in my first post numb nuts. Now, I think you should fix up your spelling before you "answare" someone else with another smart-ass remark.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
At the time, the graphics were great. The game had a nice length (I didnt beat it too fast) The story was nice too, many mysteries. I cant wait for the new one! Majora's Mask and Wind Waker were great, but they dont compare to LoZ:OoT.

A draw between all 3 of the 3D Zelda's ( not including Master Quest), and Super Mario ^$ ( and probably the DS version too, but I won't find out till the DS comes out in the UK.
My fave Gamecube game apart from Wind Waker is either super Smash Bros Melee, Super Mario Sunshine and Sonic Mega Collection ( that avoids the pain of choosing one of the 2D Sonic games : p)

It's been on a few. It debuted on the Commadore 64, the SCUMM engine was groundbreaking (the first point & click, also the first saveable game!), then it was ported to the NES (many ov the stuff that they were going to put in it was removed, it's final port of call was the PC, where it was available normally, but you could also access it on the sequal 'Maniac Mansion: Day Of the Tentacle'.
