My movie gets blammed because people say: Your Story Is great etc but it lacks in the animation department so Ive decided to set aside a month or 4 and make it 3D I just wanted to know if there is any particular guide to it?
It doesn't need 3d to be good. But if you want it to be 3d the cheapest way is Swift 3D which is about 170$ and 3dMax is about 4500$ so swift is definetly cheap. And it's a great tool designed just for making 3d in Flash
To get into 3D requires quite a bit reading of the applications beginner/help tutorials.
Once you've got a basic understanding of how to apply objects, joint them etc., hit www.google.com.
Like lucky_design said, Swift is probably the best way to go, especially because it's built for Flash. You can find freeware 3D software available, but it doesn't contain the amount of power as the commercial products.
It'll take a lot of time to learn to animate in 3D... but go for it! If you can animate 3D successfuly, you are a step ahead of the rest!
You can get a free 3D programm at www.anim8or.com
Its not the best tool but it is free.
SketchUP is amazing, thats what I use - but its on a trial so its a bummer, unless you wana pay, but its not worth paying for I don't think (unless your amazing)
