I think that Newgrounds is more orientated into Flash and flash community, and Deviantart.com into all other branches of digital and non digital art (so, it has a wider view). Also there are more skilled artists in Deviantart.com than in Newgrounds.com. And all other things I like in NG better than in DevianArt.

DeviantArt is neat...but it is soooooooooooo slow. Like "the server just took a big stinky dump" slow. It was cool when you could search the site for stuff, like, a REAL search, but I think that's a paying members-only thing now.

It's a great place for wallpapers and other miscellaneous art, but NG is still the Supreme Overlord of Flash on the internet.

Deviantart is the slowest site I have ever visited and I can not go there for more than 5 minutes before I stab my computer.

It is a close call, I really like both very much.

I like Newgrounds because of the portal and BBS, but as a flash community it seems (to me anyway) that people usually only want to submit proffessional flash, as to get in the spotlight.

On DeviantArt, I like how there is a general feeling of feeling welcome (something I don`t often see on Newgrounds these days for some reason), and that I feel free to know that I can submit anything I want, so I submit many of my shorter flash movies there.

Overall, I like Newgrounds better ONLY because it is a bit more entertaining (just a bit mind you), because the server is much, MUCH faster, because you register with all rights for free.

That's a retarded question. Newgrounds is Newgrounds and DeviantArt is DeviantArt. Why would you want to compare those two sites? I think that DeviantArt has a bigass and complicated site, but Newgrounds' seems small and simple. That I don't mind.

The content is practically the same, except that Newgrounds has a wide variety of movie styles and users. I haven't seen any retarded users on DeviantArt, but on Newgrounds.. *shhhhhhhhh*
