Where do you live? There may be like 8 Filipino kids at the most in my school, the rest are all black, hispanic, or white.
I actually live in a pretty hick-ish place, so I get a lot of Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, right-wing types as well. I get pretty pissed off as well having to hear people call Obama a "Nazi anarchist communist socialist fascist liberal radical left-wing" all the time. Gets old. Especially as the terms most of the time contradict each other, but that's a whole different point altogether.

So how's everyone back in the Philippines holding up with the flood?

Let's just say 27 hours of being stranded in a road which became a river filled with cars arranged chaotically wasn't a pleasant experience.
It's a good thing our house wasn't affected adversely, though our closets did get wet, along with some of our clothes.

Jacksonville, Florida. Mostly in St. Johns county. Right now, I know 3-4 Filipino students(counting myself) there, 2 of them in 12th grade(me and another kid), and 1 in 11th(the person I was talking about).

They were gone for a very long time. They left NG long before we found that there was a pinoy club here in NG

I walked through the flood that is as tall as my thighs (although others encountered a lot worse). Then I stayed in the bus for 4 hours due to heavy traffic. Youngblood26 encountered a worse case for he stayed in the bus from 10 AM to 2 AM. Most the Filipinos in other places specially in Marikina had the worst problem, just watch the news and you'll see what I mean. just look at amador's post, that one is already bad enough

So, I was in the bus for 14 hours for God's sake due to massive traffic and floods are everywhere, other public vehicles can't pass through. Check out my experience.
So, we live in a subdivision, gladly, the village is on a higher place compared to others who truly have some narrow roads and floods are totally everywhere men.

Shit was gay, yo.
Stranded on the road for 30 hours ( beat that amador ), and my house's internet was cut off, which makes it two months in a row without internet in my house, which is a giant bummer. No phone either.
Baby can't you see, you belong with me

So... I'm the luckiest guy here to have spent only 4 hours stranded and has internet and phone connection due to the storm?

Stranded inside the bus for 4 hours is NOT considered lucky, especially on my side, 14 hours... Also, on the aftermath of that, I immediately created a blog on my Facebook account. So, I have the damn internet connection during the storm.
Oh look, another storm is coming. Philippines, home of the Pacific typhoons.
