Dude, you're acting like Kerry would gain 150,000 votes. That's 150,000 out of 250,000, meaning Bush would pick up the other 100,000 votes, meaning Kerry would come out with a net gain of 50,000. So if Bush is ahead buy 100,000, he's now ahead by 50,000.
CNN is hilarious. They are all in denial. Larry King is like "There will be no winner tonight." they are still trying to find a way for Kerry to win and hope he'll win.
It's OVER. New Mexico looks to be going to Bush.

Yeah. Fox news IS favorable to the right, and that is obvious, whereas CNN is so far left they're off the scale. I wish we could just get the news straight up. Remember in '00 when CNN called Gore as the winner of Florida when it was Bush? Yeah.... Mmm... Smells like some bullshit a' cookin. Anyways, im gonna stay tuned on whats goin on. Ive been checkin out yahoo stuff. it looks the neatest :D

CNN is a sinking ship and all the people there know it and I can't stand to watch them. They just are bitter losers and they suck. I flipped on MSNBC and they have Ohio for Bush. After the Florida fuck up, Fox News called Florida for Gore too, they are being SUPER careful this year. They have lots of data, special formulas, and they won't call a state unless they are damn sure. I think they said the chances of being wrong are 1 in 300. Sure, there's a CHANCE, but it's around 1 in 300 and those aren't good odds for Kerry.

Not only fox news has Ohio for Bush but msnbc has Ohio marked red as well.
And I'm surprised that MSN isn't conservative.

Haha, I gotta watch CNN more. It's pathetic. Larry King is so upset, you can so see it. He's all upset that Kerry is going to lose, and he knows it. They were talking about the big effort to get out the 18-24 crowd and how about the same # of that age range voted this time compared to last time, so the efforst FAILED. Then Larry King is all "Why didn't they vote?! Why aren't they voting?!" and was all upset and flustered because he knows they would favor Kerry.

You do know that the Korean War is still going on right? They haven't stopped now and we're allied with South Korea. If North Korea nukes or attacks South Korea in all likelyhood we're going in.

Yes they are. It's the smaller number to the left of the percentage so that people can see the faster numbers from far away when they aren't highlighting those screens.
Fox News shows you the real data and isn't trying to hide the fact that the Republicans are kicking major ass. CNN is trying to cover up the facts. Typical.
Do your homework.

600k votes still uncounted? It's more than possible that Kerry could carry the state.

No he didn't. He just asked if they should change Ohio to leaning towards Bush. Come on Wade, you're being wicked biased. I'm at least giving it the doubt it deserves. It's not like the polls are completely closed. As long as there's a line the polls will remain open. People are still voting. There's still about half an hour left in the line from what I understand.

CNN is way behind, and I don't mean by the Ohio one only. Fox states that kerry has 238, while CNN states he has only 211.

too bad, I was going to make an election flash. A parody of the Mortal Combat movie theme. Instead of "Cast Your Mite" it would be "Cast Your Vote". And when it said all the mortal combat characters, It would be all the players in the election. But I got bored.

Wade, that just isn't right. Fox news does not lean to the right, they define the right. Fair and balanced is a facade, and a laughable one at that. They will, and always have tilted the vote towards the republican, such as giving Ohio to Bush very early on and taking their sweet time in giving Kerry New Hampshire. And what does it matter what the setup looks like? Anyway, in the grand scheme of things, I try and stay out of the far left and far right when I watch news. Consequently, fuck CNN, and FUCK Fox News. If I'm going to watch any election coverage, it's going to be ABC, MSNBC, and good old Jon Stewart on the Daily Show. :)
Fox News shows you the real data and isn't trying to hide the fact that the Republicans are kicking major ass. CNN is trying to cover up the facts. Typical.
And lastly, addressing this. Fox News does not show the "real data." They have always tilted the news to the right, and even if Republican's aren't 'kicking major ass,' they stick to their guns and insist they are. You can't rely solely on a single Newsource, because every station will have it's own convictions. One source isn't always the right one.

Well, you gotta admit that after all the big hype and push to get younger voters out, when they find out they didn't make a difference like they thought it would, it's really going to turn a lot of young people away from future voting.
Also, while it may be very likely that Bush will get Ohio and subsequently get re-election (the world is so screwed), there is still a possibility for a Kerry win in Ohio. So I don't think CNN's description of calling it "too close to call" it really all that inaccurate. Odds are that it will end up going to Bush, but I do think that Fox and NBC did call it prematurely, because it wasn't a definite thing.

John Edwards sure sounds extremely confident about winning. Too bad, they there's a practically next to nothing chance of him and Kerry winning, with the way Ohio and the other states are going.

That's probably true, but the assumptions seem close enough. And if they were wrong, they can change it. It's not like Fox will refuse to go and stick with their first assumptions, no matter what.

Do you realize that it's entirely possible for this election to end in a tie right now? It's unlikely but if Nevada flips and New Mexico stays with Kerry and Iowa going to Kerry (likely as the places that came in were mostly the places Bush was supposed to do well in) and Bush gets Ohio that's 269 to 269. Crazy. Then we get Bush as the president because Congress is controlled by the Republicans.
I seriously doubt it.

Like Kerry doesn't have lawyers at the ready to call for a recount. Same goes for Bush.

Alright, I read a lot of your comments and here is what I'm seeing.
As far as CNN, they are a joke. The one guy on there, who is liberal, is trying to tell Larry King and the other guy that Bush has won, but they don't want to hear it. He's like "With this big of a lead in the popular vote you really can't lose in the electoral vote." and Larry King is like "But the popular vote is a mute point!" haha. Not when there is that BIG of a difference. Bush is ahead by 3 points, 48% to 51%.
Also with Ohio, what's with the 600k votes? I'm hearing 250,000. Kerry isn't going to gain 120,000 votes out of that.
As far as John Edwards, he didn't look like he thought he was going to win, he looked like a beaten opponent. He looked sad, upset, mad, angry, trying to hold it back and give his base a pep talk. That wasn't the happy positive John Edwards I'm used to seeing.
As far as Fox News, they aren't as right as everyone makes them out to be. They only appear far right to liberals because they are used to their far left news that they think is moderate, and when they see Fox News which is closer to the middle than to the far right they think it's far right.
As far as the 1 in 300 odd I mentioned, I didn't pull that out of thin air. That was reported on the news as the accuracy of their formula for calling states. Meaning when they called Ohio for Bush they had a 1 in 300 chance of being wrong. This isn't magic people, there are stats, facts, etc. Sure there will be variations, and nothing is 100%, but the variations won't be large enough to call John Kerry the winner of Ohio.
If John Kerry does win Ohio I will kiss all your feet.

NEWS FLASH, from left wing CNN:
Democrats are debating if it's wise to push the issue with provisional ballots as they are liking to be split and could give Bush an even larger lead.

Gimmie a break, Wade. FOX news has been throwing in their little smirky comments and trying to get speakers to over-estimate data just like CNN and everyone else has.
It's kind of stupid that I should actually be impressed that FOX has been semi-behaving tonight, in any case.
I must lollerskate on this matter.

Wade, you might be right about President Bush winning, but I'm not, as I'm sure many others aren't, ready to throw in the towel. About John Edwards not being his usual peppy self, they've been campaigning for a loooong time with no breaks. I'd look tired beaten and upset in a situation like that too. This is still close. We can't draw to conclusions yet.

I'm watching CNN and Fox News, and a little MSNBC. I think FOX News has been by far the most informative and fair. They have been very careful when calling the different states.
Fox News has had democrats on putting their spin on the #'s, saying they think Kerry could pull it off. They have had Republicans on spinning their #'s, and then they have their experts looking at Ohio, county by county, seeing what counties haven't sent their totals in, and what their demographical make ups are.
CNN is just Larry King sitting there looking like he has to take a shit and can't wait to leave. The one guy on Fox News, Juan (the black guy) is a Democrat, left winger, and he looks sad. The other guy is a moderate, and they have a right winger. Bill Crystal is a ring winger I think, but I've heard him be pretty critical of Bush, so I think he's kinda all over the place.
I have found the Fox News broadcast to be much more professional than CNN's broadcast. Brit Hume is a respected journalist.
