Final Fantasy 8 too.

Reasons :-

The card game was awesome. I managed to collect all of them.

And the Storyline is great.

Oviously not, 9's story was far superior to 8's as was the battle and card system. The worst FF is clearly 3 as this was never released outside of Japan.

And by ff3 I mean the REAL FF3 not the FF3 that was released in USA as that was FF6

Ugh, I hated 8! That card game was really awesome though. But they have one in 9, and 9 is a whole lot better. I think my favorite of all time would probably be 7, but I really love Tactics as well.

These are the FF games I have played long enough to have an opinion:

5- Fun game. Pure and simple. (50hrs.)
6- Excellent game. Lots of new innovations. (60hrs.)
7- Absolute Masterpiece. Possibly the best RPG of all time. (170hrs.)
8- Crap. Boring plot. (100hrs.)
9- Nicely made traditional RPG. (120hrs.)
10- Great advances in graphics, but disappointing in other ways. (180hrs.)
10-2- Girly version of FFX. Ok if you like playing dress up. (80hrs.)
T- One of the most addicting and best battle strategy games out there. (250hrs.)

In sum, FFVII is my favorite, closely followed by FFT. FFIX isn't bad either. FFVIII is clearly the worst in my opinion.

Hmm...i would say...FFT (tatics) and FF7 because their my all time fav's. I'm not saying that FF8 and so on are bad, in fact, i like FF8 and FF9 also (of course my ff9 disc is scratched so i cant play it anymore...) So fft and ff7 would be my favorite games

FF1/2(basicly the same thing, i just did not like the optional dongens where you could not use excape if you got stuck and 7 was great 10 was pretty cool and i am playing 4 right now because 3 froze up on me and would not let me play it but it looked ok. i heard great things about tatics (which i will play after 4). so yeh that just leaves a few out there i need to check out but i just started 4 and am not to thrilled about it even if cecil does look really cool...

oh and how come "Cid" is ether in or mentioned in every game for? in 1/2 he was the maker of a forgotten device known as the air ship. in 4 he is known for cleaning and fixing up air ships in 7 he is known for building air ships...its like the higher the numbers go the more back in time everything goes.

Final Fantasy VI

Possibly the best graphics on the SNES, highly addictive gameplay, and a very nice story made this game my all time favorite FF game, with FF X in second.

P.S. I am ready for Final Fantasy XII to dethrone Final Fantasy VI as my favorite FF game.

if you don't say four, or you make a great argument for seven or maybe six, you're an idiot. with that, i'd say four. being ff2 to those of you clueless ones around. i have them all, because of super nintendo, ps2 and roms for 1, 2, 3, and five (translated from anthologies, i think), so i hope i know what i'm talking about. sure, ff4 is short compared to the others (i'm on 16 hours, but will probably tack on eight more for a pink tail without cheating), but its storyline was what drew me into the final fantasy world. seven is by far one of the best ffs, even one of the best psone games of all time, and the addicting seventy hour storyline is something to behold. and six was what really revolutionized the game here in the states, after four caught on and six was graphically and lengthwise enhanced. (my twelve year old bro's addicted to ff6, ever since i got it a few years ago. he usually plays the rom, though.) i hope that's enough of an argument for those three.

i am playing 4 now i love the story line in this plus i think that Edge would kill cloud using Rajin lol u know theat big lightnning attack lol...i am no longer a fan of cecil in this game ether because after all the hard wark it was to lvl him up he started back at lvl 1 after he turned good...it made me mad >:(....but the story line is cool.

but still FF7 was really fun and i enjoyed it...which one was it it was ether 8 or 9 where u had to gain exp by using a weapon or something to the effect? anyone know what i am talking about, any ways that was a big turn off for me.
