Well, they're great. I liked the genre Progressive House so don't know about what others may think . . .

About their new album, Daft Club, kinda sucked a little bit.

Daft Punk? To me their alternate name may be "French Faggots."

They suck music-wise, as well as they suck off each other. Blech...damn French don't know what the hell they're doing.

Daft Punk only got 15 minutes of fame in the U.S. They landed a gig on Cartoon Network's Toonami and did a Gap commercial. Discovery was the only album of theirs that I have seen in the U.S.

Anyways, yep, I'm a Daft Punk fan. Harder Better Faster Stronger is my fav tune. Aerodynamic's worth a listen too. Still looking for Homework, their first album.

Um, I'm afraid you're just ignorant. 15 minutes of fame would be a fair dismissal to a one-hit-wonder. Daft Punk have had like 6. Everyone knows Da Funk and Around the World, and their newer CD - as well their videos - did quite well too.

Seen I5555 too many times to count, bought it on DVD as soon as it was available. Daft Punk does kick ass, that movie is bound to become a cult classic in no time flat.

Just wanted to bring up that I, as well, really enjoy Daft Punk. Listening to lots of different electonic music, I find that they did a good job, at least in my opinion, of taking their medium to newer areas. In an interview with REMIX magazine, they talk about some of their approaches to their music, especially the idea of actually bringing "solos" back to the medium, which took my interest.

I also like some of their split-off work that they do in their individuals lables like Dr Momem-Christo's Crydamoure lable brining forth Le Knight Club (perhaps their stuff is a little longer than my tastes allow, but still similar in spirit)

Dude, I love Daft Punk. 'Discovery' blew me away, because they managed to avoid the 'sophomore slump' that plagues many artists. There is at least one Daft Punk song on a party playlist that I put together.

I've also got a kickin' Daft Punk v. Fatboy Slim that is Around the World/Praise you. Good Stuff.

One hit wonders?

So one hit wonders have 2 multi-platinum albums & a fully animated music video for an entire album that is burning up expected sales?

What do you call Interstella 5555 : The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem?
Those are part of the entire movie, if I am not mistaken, even though I don't watch Cartoon Network. Oh yeah this. Right?

It should be, if I am not mistaken:

One More Time
Aerodynamic
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

Off of the album Discovery. I think those were the ones released early to tease the market, which didn't happen, most people only thought it was never going to be finished. The movie came out December 1st 2003, December 2nd for America ( I think ) the teasers were shown long before 2003 I know for sure, I was still in High School when I saw them as music videos. The entire movie is the album Discovery's music.
