Im on this laptop and like sometimes when i type like it goes somewere else in the paragraph and screws it up why does it do that? Or sometimes im holding the scroller to go up a page, and it like sticks to the scroller and it wont release it untill i double click. Is this because something in the laptop iks broken?

Laptops suck to begin with, I hate them. They charge you more and everytime you want a new one you have to buy another monitor also lol.

Sounds like my old laptop.

that happened with mine - and it also highlights and deletes something sometimes? thats probably because its got something LIKE "ctrl, alt+del" thing on there - mine still does it, but as the keys on some laptops are sensitive when your tying your arm, or hand, may be pressing down those certain keys..

thats all i can say really - if its not that I don't know, but laptops are cool - if you are using wireless :D

It sounds as though you're accidentally knocking the mouse pad as you're typing / performing other tasks.

i know on all 3 of my laptops, the mouses break from time to time (but only the mouse screen, not the clickers).

plus, laptops suck. so thier suposed to do that.

What great advice all of you who say, "laptop's suck" carry.

I wish I'd have never bought the workstation I bought (desktop, huge monitor, desk required) a couple of years ago. The laptop I have now is the best investment I ever made. I use it all the time and I can take it wherever I go and be almost sure of being able to jump on a wireless network with a decent connection when I leave the house with it.

Of course, now I've written that, this thing will go kaput.

My friend brought over his laptop once for a joint report we had to do together. Since I wasn't used to it, my thumb and/or wrists kept hitting the small square mouse pad thing. At first I thought his laptop was screwed, but I eventually figured it out. This is most likely the case with this character..

I have a Sony Vaio PCG-K17. best damn thing that ever happened to me. I bumped the ram to 1GB of corsair premium, its got a 3.06 GHZ PIV under the hood, all I would ever need. Just shell out 15 bucks for an external mouse and you'll be fine.

i think i know the problem... some laptops have a mouse click thing.
eg on the mouse thing(where u move ur finger) they have a click thing on there so if u clikc on the pad it will act as a mouse, diable that and you wont have problems.

I just scrolled through this conversation so I'm pretty sure this has been said a million times.

I have the same problem with my laptop, but it's a user error not a computer issue. My mouse touch pad is really sensative and sometimes while I'm typing, the bottom of my hand or my wrist will brush against the touch pad which will move the mouse to a new location. Sometimes it seems like the window randomly scrolls, or my cursor just jumps to a random location... it's annoying yes, but it's nobodys fault but my own.

Just be more careful and eventually it'll become like second nature to you.

Yeah, just keep your wrists straight, and you will for sure not hit it.
