He was very clear with his positions and made good points. He isnt a democrat or republican, making him a third party hopeful, which have not had much success in recent years. Also, would his celebrity stature be too much of a hinderance to his running for presidency, and remember, he did get elected governer of minnesota and do an excellent job in office.

If ventura got elected president it would be a pretty good thing I would think. He did a good job as governor of minnesotta and he couldnt do worse than bush so I think he would be pretty good. And him being a celebrity would probably help in some ways but hinder in others
His celebrity status might harm him...
I honestly don't know much about his political standings, but he sounds interesting.
I think that since he's a celebrity, he probably will be able to fund much of his own campaign, correct? Not to mention garner votes based on name-recognizability alone. Hey, if Reagan can do it, why can't he?
I think it would be interesting to see, personally. I haven't heard to many people complain about the man, so he must be doing something right.
I honestly like Jesse Ventura. He doesn't dance around like what Kerry and Edwards did in the debate, he is very direct. In 2008, I will definetely elect him. We need a person of sense, not a politician, to be president. I remember watching him on CSPAN one time talking about budget glut. Very persuasive, and gets his point acrossed quite easily. As for the possibility for him to being elected, I think it's slim to none; too many people vote a straight ticket.

And he's said a lot of things over the years that makes me things twice for voting for him.
