It lacks skill? How? If you mean that combo's are too easy to do, you don't have enough experience with the game. Uptilt combo's aren't as prevalent as some say.

How? Because it has combo's and is more fast paced then brawl? Oh, I guess in that case it's a ripoff of 64 too. Just because they took what made the previous games fun and added it to Brawl doesn't mean it's a ripoff of earlier installments.
It has stupid auto L-cancel.
L-Cancelling is a very shallow tech. There was never a reason NOT to L-cancel in melee, at everyone at any given serious tourney knew how. Just because you have to press a button everytime you hit the ground doesn't mean a game is deeper.

Brawl+ Is balanced enough that as of this moment there are no characters significantly worse than the rest. Not to mention that any major balance concerns can actually be adressed to increase the games balance.
