Hey guys, I borrowed my friends Wii together with his copy of Brawl. So how about a match or two?

Sorry for double posting, but I ACCEPT YOUR CHALLENGE. PREPARE FOR CHAIN GRABS AND CAMPING. But then again, I need someone to test my internet connection, I bought a other new router and I think I got wifi back.

Hello There.
I used to be a hardcore Melee player/addict for over a year after playing the N64 game. However I am about to purchase the new Brawl game!

Can anybody explain to me how good the control scheme is for the Wiimote? I am weiry on the Wiimote's lagging, bullshit control capabilities

I bum Starfox in SSB :D

Now for a very freindly!

Can I join!

I'll less than heart you :)

You are aware that you can use gamecube controllers to play brawl right? It's a lot easier than the Wiimote controls. I'd be happy to play you on wifi if my lag doesnt act up :).

Same goes for RaccoonMario, I'd be glad to play you online. Just send me a PM :D

Are Wiimote controls still, well, usable? I do not wish to invest in yet another gamecube controller. I have broke 2 already! So I bought a Wii to replace the Gamecube!

Basically is there a limit to how good you can be with the Wiimote, as compared to the Gamecube controllers, or is it so hard to use that there be a noticable difference in player skill!

The Wii Remote with the Nunchuck is still bareable. I mean I don't use it, but I've seen compettive level, as well as casual, players use it just fine. It just takes more practice, i'm sure.

try it out though.

The Wii remote allone though is just ridiculous imo.

Lol. I just love the amount of hypocrisy you can inject into one simple paragraph. You call people who play FPSs competitively clanfags, yet that's exactly the same way that non-competitive Brawl players see you guys.

Smash is an offline community for the most part.

They're cool. Online Wii gamers are just whiny and annoying from my experience. I can't really explain it more than that. If you were ever in a clan you would know what I was talking about.

Also, tourney was last weekend, it went great. Didn't post the link here because I forgot to. I posted it in the chat where there's actually people, though. mikeHAZE is such a chill guy, I got to play him in a MM and friendlies, and he taught me a lot. :D I had to leave at about 9:30, but I was still in the bracket, so I had to settle for 13th out of 61. Not bad still.

Knux, you're an elitist and every time I see you you're being apprehensive and/or a total dick to someone. Fuck off.

Nooooooo!
Bring activity to the thread!

UL, if I thought I was better than someone both in Smash and life, I'd verbally say so. Otherwise I'm just stating what I think to be true.

So please stop blowing irrelevancies out of poportion.

I don't know if I'm better than you in Smash, but I'm sure I can take in an offline set.

I've only just gotten used to the Wiimote + nunchuck! I use the smash move shake... Thing, to my advantage which took some getting used to.

I'm sure I'll get better with it! Like my traditional self i'm about 20% through the games Adventure mode on insane, challange ahoy! :D

Also how do you deploy the super special move may I ask! I can't figure it out!

Isn't it B? Also GC is much more better to play with, yes some "may" use the wii mote competively, but the wii mote takes time getting use too, and most likely you are proned too john after a match if you do horrible. Then he\she will demand a rematch and play with GC controller, and still fail. I have seen this happen. Though their are some people who don't blame game controls on their mistakes. So eh. I have no problem with you playing with a wii mote, just don't john much about the gay controls of it.

Also as a quick note, does the shake-smash w\e its called comes out faster then the GC's c stick or are they both the same? I've been wondering about this for some time.

I'd imagine the Gamecube controller would be slightly faster (wired vs wireless), but then again it all depends on how fast you can move your hand!

Getting better with the numchuck!

I doubt the wiimote/wiichuck would have "input lag". But a lot of techs and even simple movements are easier to perform using the gamecube controller. Many people have got accustomed to it after playing Melee with it.

come by the chat to ask for matches

and griffion we've held numerous tournies before. The last one was a few months ago, in spring.

However a good lot of us only take offline play competitively because brawl wifi is just not good enough.

the majority of us have also been to smash tournaments off person. They're lots of fun.
