ICs might be worth it, but i wouldn't practice them with the lag of your tvs. If you want ill play wifi with you. lol, I don't play brawl much anymore so we should be even.

this is the kind of stuff that makes me want to play again :P
that and because CSS is kind of dead now since GO came out, lol.

D: That's a shame. I heard CS GO kinda catered to the casuals alot more then the previous ones. I hope smash 4 doesn't take the same route. But didnt soruce kinda do that too? That's why people still play 1.4? Idk, I know nothing about counter strike :p

do you play on allisbrawl or anything? And yeah, that's what I've been hearing. I only have two TV's now, neither of them are a CRT. I wish we hadn't thrown out that tiny-ass CRT we had for like 10 years. Hmm... I'll look into the game mode thing. The lag is just atrocious. I can even sense it on the character/stage selection screens.

Get one!! Check to see if your friends/relatives have one that they don't use. Its worth it!!

I don't really go on AIB or play brawl anymore. I play melee/P:M and I usually hang out on this xat: http://xat.com/dabessdi

I'll still play brawl if its at a tourney though, I just mainly go for melee :p

The only events at HOBO 39 are brawl singles, doubles, and mid/low-tier doubles. I might consider doing the low tier event, sounds like it could be fun. How long has it been in production? And do they still patch it regularly?

Its been in production for awhile (3 years?) and it is still being patched regularly. They will probably have setups for it at HOBO so you can try it out. They need a new tournament name, I mean come on they are at 39??? lolzz

And dang, haha. Well you were playing Chu (if that was really him). That guy was my smash bros idol. Have you been going to tournies and stuff?

Yeah I had to play him in bracket in melee. I was doing good until I got grabbed... Wasn't pretty after that. I cant really go to that many tournies, but I try to. Like once every 2 months I would say. That's why I still use wifi.

You should go to HOBO though, will be lots of fun. Good to see you back! Hopefully this will attract other old members and we can have our little reunion here.

Perhaps. Won't be able to do Brawl since I let my sister take the Wii and games with her to college. Screenshots of SSB4 sound pretty hype. Hope they're for the one on Wii U though.

So how's it going?

haha, well I'm still in high school. It's track season now too. After looking at the matchups, I think I'll primary use Kirby. Pikachu and Ice Climbers for the harder matchups. I never really was able to chain the whole cast, only light characters haha.

ICs might be worth it, but i wouldn't practice them with the lag of your tvs. If you want ill play wifi with you. lol, I don't play brawl much anymore so we should be even.

I'll see if I have a "gaming mode..." And yeah sure, when are you usually available? And I don't know man... I'm quite rusty, and completely unused to wifi lag. I still remember this, haha.

this is the kind of stuff that makes me want to play again :P

Not really true. CSGO is (in my opinion) the future of FPS in esports. It's huge. You have 1.6 players and source players coming together to form teams. The scene is pretty hype. I haven't played any GO, because I know my computer won't be able to run it well.

I'll see what I can do. lol... Do a lot of tv's have this "gaming mode" you speak of?

wow, dang. I thought it was still a relatively new thing. What happened to Brawl+/Brawl-? It seems like Project M is a much better game than either of them though.

Once every two months isn't bad at all. If I had to face Ultimate Razer or something in the first round, I would probably be upset lol. The smashboards thread doesn't have any mention of project M, but if it's there then I'll try to play some.

link(s)? I really don't know anything about SSB4, and I wonder if I'll buy a Wii U just for it. I won't lie, I don't have very high hopes for the game. I'll only get it if a lot of people feel like it's good, and competitively viable. For whatever dumb reason, Nintendo has really been opposed to smash being an esport.

So how's it going?

Senioritis is hitting me really hard... I've been super lazy, and now I'm getting back into smash. Lol.

Shit, guess I got it all wrong then haha. Guess you too lazy to learn the new game then?

Brawl +/- died, and its all about project m right now. I see project M living alot longer, because it seems alot more 'professional' or however you wanna put it.

Bobbybroccoli posted a link further up. I'm probably going to just try out SSB4 at a friend's before even buying a Wii U. It'll probably still be fun though, but I might not give in time for any of the competitive scene. Smash tourneys are too smelly lol.

Right now I'm doing the usual school and work thing. Thinking about becoming a chef.
Yeah my favorite game to play at the moment is Horde on Gears of War 3. I have a team that competes for the top ranks for the leaderboards.

This is a great crew! :)

I play each new iteration in this series fiercely, though mechanics wise, I must say to date, I've enjoyed melee the most.

Since I currently play brawl, my main character has been Pit a lot of the time.

An interesting trick with him, his down B mirror-shield move can also negate all damage from physical attacks, if timed properly, and unlike the normal shield-bubble, it never breaks.

I'm also an avid Ness fan. He surprisingly isn't used a lot in tourneys, but I like to surprise my foes by wiping the floor with 'em, using Mr. "Okay". :P

Anyone else use Ness or Pit a lot?

Oh hey, welcome to ssbc! This crew has been dead for a while, but Its back on its way up. Do you goto/watch tournaments?

As for Ness and Pit, I was never big fans of them unfortunately :( I always prefer characters with alot of grab range lol.

I both play in tourneys, and spectate on them. :) For characters with good grab range, ya might try Samus or Link.

Olimar's grab by far.

I have to say that holding the Wii U pad does feel comfortable for the hands. We will probably see the good games coming next year.

Got Project M a few days ago. I have to say. That it is AWESOME! I was worried it was going to be a straight up Melee clone (since it is officially called Project Melee), however I was wrong. Yeah it was meant to play like Melee, but they did take elements from all three. From Super Smash Bros. on the N64, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Some characters got barely any changes, like King Dedede and Snake. While others got some changes to them, like Mario and Link. While others got an overhaul, like Wario and the Pokemon Trainer, whose Pokemon was split into three separate characters and certainly for the better.

Haha, I wanted some last minute practice before the tourney. Let's play soon! Ended up getting 25/56 using Kirby and Pikachu almost evenly.

I honestly have been waiting for an Animal Crossing character, idk I just have,
Mega Man was needed, that was for sure.
Lastly the Wii fit lady is kind of odd, I wanna see what direction they go with her.
