You know what would have been a great idea for Brawl?
Instead of having Pokemon Trainer, why not have Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle as separate playable characters in the game. And depending on how well each starter pokemon does, they evolve on to their next phase in battle.
I would rather them just keep what they did originally and get rid of the fatigue thing and have a second trainer with a Blastoise/Charmeleon/Bulbasaur team.

Regarding the discussion of smashboards being filled with "tourneyfags": They put winning ahead of having fun.
Fine, they put winning above having fun. They're still having fun in the process, isn't that what counts? Besides, doesn't every other person that plays every other game/sport/whatever competitively have the same mentality? Why is it just smash brothers that gets all the heat from casual players?
They'll do anything. Spam, camp, and a lot of them even decide to use broken characters so they :can win, They admit to doing this JUST to win.
Who decided that stuff was dishonorable in the first place? As I said before people have found ways around that stuff to the point where it's not a problem for them so I fail to see problem behind using those tactics. And since when did picking up different characters was considered to be a bad thing? If a character doesn't turn out to work for somebody they pickup another one that does, if it turns out to be a top tier character so be it and what about the people who legitimately likes using those "broken" characters competitively, are they tourneyfags too?
Lots of threads in character boards saying "I'm leaving this ___ character to use (insert top tier character here).
Care to point out these threads? I've never seen them.
