Those were some good games, although the lag was absolutely horrendous. You are pretty good though, you absolutely owned me- the only time I ever came close to winning was when I was Ike vs Your Kirby- I might have managed to take it to Sudden Death if the timer hadn't run out just after Ike suicided thanks to Aether.

I'd like to join the tourny, as long as people are on on weekends I'll be able to participate. Sorry I havn't been on much. I've started using my good computer instead of the freezy one that won't let me log in. This computer is always in use though so it's hard to get time in. I've also been trying to be come less attached to the computer, so I havn't been checking here much. I'll make sure to check for updates on the tourny though.

On another note I think I've realized that metaknight is not the character I have the most skill with. It's just he's a pretty good character. I may be changing the character I use for the tourny so don't asume I'll be metaknight for this one.

That's the problem, you folks let it break you instead of simply admiring and respecting that someone is better than you and then proceeding to learn and train to improve your game because of them.

And in the end, lagged online matches are hardly the way to really face off. So when you lose in a tourney in a small crew in a relatively 'not too well known website' there is no reason to be discouraged.

Really if you only knew how many more people are out there and better than you in the US alone... I can't describe it to you, it's something you really have to see and experience to realize. But it's something spectacular that can feel daunting to anyone that plays competitively.

Get some new people to play, my friends. And I mean completely new people. No I do not mean just add more friend codes from people you don't know online (Although, in some cases that could not hurt), and no, I do not mean going to your nieghbors and playing those ike spamming nublets we all love.

Go out, look for competitions, however small and uknown, make friends with people that not only play well but that have their act together. People you can learn from. Train your techniqe, train your mindgames with a variety of Smashers with different play styles, and play to learn.

That way when you lose to a particular person or maybe an online tournament. Hell even when you lose a match in general you won't let it affect you negatively, at all. Because really, what's one little online tournament, worth your ego? Your entire motivation to play competitively

Exactly. At one point I considered Grade-Zero and Cool equals, if not GZ better than cool. But cool keeps getting better.

He beats up everyone with their own main, he gets better and better. While we, are getting better too yes, but Cool is getting more and more out of our league.
