Chinese colonisation 2004-09-13 17:48:25 Reply

So we all know that the Chinese invented the compass as well as the boat, well at least the real good ones. So why oh why did they not go out and conquer new worlds? Well for one, the emperor decided against it, as well as many other factors. But this brings up an interesting question;

How would the modern day world be if the Chinese and not the Europeens wouldv'e gone out and discovered new worlds, like say, America?

They did. There’s real evidence floating about that the Chinese where most places long before Europeans. Including the Americas. It’s just they didn’t have conquering on their minds.

Ahh, but remember, China is a lot closer to the land bridge than most of Russia…

What kind of evidence? Any artifacts? Was there any camps or anything that would suggest some sort of village?

More like mongolians. Anyways, they all came from the same little crescent in the middle east. The human being trekking from the middle east right up to the single worst place in northern russia is just amazing. Christ, I wouldn't even do it by plane.

Well, we'll never know. I find it really interesting because China is totally different from europe in pretty much every way. If they wouldv'e colonized america, not only would the mos populous race in the world would be the chinese, but they would also be the most spread out.

Well. The Chinese first target would be Japan and Korea, who are right next door to them. China would also look south to Indo-China, and Indonesia, for colonies.

By the Time the Chinese actually hit the western coast of the Americas, they would have a vast empire of the Pacific Ocean. California, Oregon, Washington and Alaska would become colonies. But the Chinese would be too far to take the Aztecs and Incas down. The Aztecs would be too far away to attack with a large army, so the Chinese would trade with them and the Incas.

If this continued for very long, China's technology may advance to the point of guns and factories, and leave Europe very far behind.

Europe would land in the Americas, and grab definite footholds, but the Aztecs and Incas would be too strong to take down just yet.

Chinese Colonisation would force a world war, and probably a "crusade" in which the forces of Europe, having colonized the Eastern side of America, engage the Pacific Empire of the Chinese. I assume that Europe would band toghther... as they did when muslims attacked.

Ultimately, China would dominate the Americas, and then colonize Europe.

Sounds like a stretch, but good enough. I dont see the Chinese trading with the Incas or Aztecs, though. I mean, hell, Cortez took em over with less than 500 men. It woldnt have taken many of the gazillions of Chinese to take em over.

ya but the aztecs thought that the wierd tal light skinned people wearing shiny metal suits and with long white beards and shiny metal helmets were gods on their big white horses. They invited them in for cocoa and got backstabbed. The chinese probably wouldn't be confused with gods and we are also talking about giving the aztecs enough time to discover steel and boatmaking considering that if china was the colonizing power of the world spain never would have went to SA
