New Portal Index

By now, some of you will have noticed the new Portal layout. Apologies to those of you who saw some of the images and text sizes goofing up in the old layout prior to me releasing this....

Anyway, things to note:

1. The top swf animation will probably be brought down greatly in filesize. Stamper was working on that, but I think he's finally made the right choice and gone to sleep after a twenty hour stint in front of his computer.

2. The rollovers on the recent list contain content advisories now. That will be spread to the rest of the listings in time.

3. When the last layout of the Portal index page was set up, people complained that the animation got all jittery... Hopefully, that's fixed.

4. If anything's going to go wrong, it's going to go wrong terribly tomorrow morning. Let me know if you spot any problems via e-mail.

I don't mean to bump Wade's topic about the Dr Shroud contest, so check that out here!

Ha ha, I felt the same way when I saw it... I was really confused until it all came together. Looks great! I've seen them all except for the "verge of death" ones... I have yet to see one of those. But I'm sure it'll look great as well.

If you're talking about the icons that are in there, we had suggestions to do that long before Luke started doing it. In fact, I seem to remember him actually dropping me a line about putting icons in there himself.
