Really, we need to make some Aussie club for people from Australia! Well, the australian accent used to be stronger, but the main point is, who cares about our accents, just talk they way you want to.
I think NSWs have stronger accents than VICs.
aussies accent don't matter cause we have so many different cultures here that people often forget that g'day mate! was done on farms everywhere in Australia (although i still say it) but we are the most swearing country in the world *sniff* brings a tear to my eye. for example "fuck'en ell its cold" as a greeting when its winter. or "fuck u cunt!" when someone makes a jab at ya. but Australia's main asset is beer.
Don't know that there's too much of a difference in accent between NSW and VIC, but I do agree with previous posts that suggest that the Australian accent on the whole is completely misunderstood by most other countries. Everyone else has their ideas of how the Australian accent should sound based on episodes of the Simpsons and from movies. Bit of a shame really... works for me. I love Australia.

America and Canada use about 32 facial muscles, making you hear a sharper accent. Australians use about 20. UK uses about 10 or so.
Hahaha what a joke, fuckbag.

Funny you should say this. I've lived in Australia for almost half my lifetime and I've never picked up an Australian accent. In fact, I have a broadly American one (although some of my American friends insist I have an English accent, which I find rather odd).
In any case, I don't really think having an Australian accent is necessarily a weakness. I do think that for most people watching flash on Newgrounds however, an American accent would be considered the "norm" with all other accents increasingly "unnorm" and riddled with stereotypical assumptions. If you're going to have an Australian accent in a flash, it'd have to be as exagerrated as possible and stringing together as much Australian slang as a sentence can possibly hold.
Some break the rule however: like The Decline ofVideogaming series, in which the characters are quite obviously English, but aren't having afternoon tea with scones and a pot of Earl Grey. Well, except in the outtakes at the end. But you know what I mean: They're ostensibly meant to be normal teens.... with admittedly an unhealthy obsession with video games but that's normal for teens in general I think.
And then there's foreign language flashes which is a whole different kettle of fish all together.
This whole subject is really interesting, i like hearing what the opinions are on other accents, particularly in flash. On the subject of state accents my Mums boyfriend is from South Australia and when he says certain words or phrases he sounds like he's from New Zealand. For example, fish sounds like 'fush'. When they first meet him, some people say 'oh, so you're from NZ then?'. My family all find it very amusing.
But seriously, do you really think the Commonwealth has any sort of grand standing in the world anymore? No one cares about the Commonwealth and its very fragile existence.
mate you watch your dirty mouth..you never know what might happen to it and as your concept as australia having murderers as its citizens, you look at the staticstics america has double the murder rate then australia and dont forget this, also dont forget im a bloody aussie and proud of it!

Either "G'Day Mate" or "Chuck Another On The Barbie, love".
