To all you people rambling about the technical specs, graphics and prosessing power are not what games are about. There about the games! Besides, no games have officialy been anounced yet, so there's no telling whats gonna be better. why would nintendo make arguably the best console of the current generation if they're going bankrupt?
i mean seriously, one of their launch games (rogue leader) pushed 15 million polys on screen at once, and Xbox has yet to play host to a game that tops 14 million, unless my numbers are out of date.

the nintendo gamecube is, like every one of nintendo's ventures, part of a healthy company making a profit.

i'm assuming you've never actually heard of nintendo.
they have the mario, zelda, and metroid franchises for a start. there's also the donkey kong country games.
resident evil is exclusive to gamecube right now.
nintendo generally make amazingly good consoles, of particular note are the gamecube and snes. the GBA is rather nice aswell.

early indications from nintendo reps suggest that the gamecubes successor won't have the same graphical prowess and it's competitors, but there really isn't that much more to do.

i'd prefer to see a console with a ton of memory, so the size of playng areas and stuff can be increased. that would lead to lower loading times as data could be streamed off of a disk(assuming it had good transfer speeds) and stored in memory for a longer time than it otherwise would.

frankly i don't see why you're talking about what you're going to get before the machines have been made, and there aren't even technical demos to speak of.

personally, i'm going to wait until they're out, and see what i like.

ditto. and i like the big fat Xbox pads, they have nice analogue sticks and they fit my big british hands.
it's all the asian with their tiny little hands that were made for building electronic goods in factories, complaining about how the evil white man made his pads too big.(that was intended to be funny, although i have a habit of amusing yself at the expense of others rather than making other people laugh.)

i think that xbox and ps2 are both great systems, theres really not much difference from an xbox and ps2. i prefer an xbox over a playstation because the xbox has more features to it.

That's just stupid.
PS3 has micro-cell Processors, and while anything being pumped out should look amazing, it's going to be the hardest thing to produce for (This info coming from game developers who already have dev-kits), so it won't have the same support PS2 had.
Revolution hasn't even released a spec sheet, and XBOX 2 has only released specs to few main M$ second party developers and a couple important third party developers. You have nothing to be loyal to as of yet, so discontinue your little "PS3 FANBOY!" action, you haven't even had a screenshot of a game from the system.

PS3 and Xbox 2 will own yes. because they have great online games.

Are you stupid? PS2 has the worst graphics out of the 3 current-gen sytems, and if it weren't for Nintendo, you wouldn't even HAVE those other two consoles. We'd still be playing 16-bit games if it weren't for Nintendo.
Sony wouldn't've even gotten into the Video-game business if it weren't for Nintendo.
You want to know what happened? Nintendo wanted to make a Disc-based system back in 1990, and knew Sony was the king of disc-type media (that'd be Music CDs and DVDs), so they started working together on Playstation (yes, it was called that), but about halfway through Sony decided it wanted to go solo and took the plans for the system AND the name. So your damn PS and PS2 are actually of Nintendo's creation in reality, so stfu.

I'll stick with xbox 1 beating PS2, PS2 has kiddy games and Halo and Ninja Gaiden rock. PGR2 beats Gran Tourismo also. And about the controllers of the xbox they have s-controllers now, they're way better. So don't wank about the oversized, heavy controllers (who cares about that). And how the hell could you know what will be better with PS3 and Xbox2? Did you saw it?! So stop saying this is best and that stuff. PS2 isn't bad, it has some cool games but that's it. And who caries his console every day? (my xbox may be heavy, but it's just standing there!)

Do any of you even get the gaming mag? From the sounds of things you people know nothing of what the Xbox two code name Xexon will be fully able to do. It does not lack hard drive space while the old had 500,000 blocks of built in hard drive which levels out to around the Xexon will come with over one million blocks and be able to handle over 92 billion commands a second it does not lack speed or hard drive space. It will also be the first new system to launch in 2005 the PS3 will not be out in japan until mid 2006. Xexon's graphics will dust even the nintendo rev, who was suppose to launch with the most advanced graphic system to date, the Xexon will support HD graphics as well as DD surround sound. It will come with usb ports as well as other mod systems like extra hard drive space. I myself am an Xbox fan true but I am also a logical person, if you can give me any facts to support that the PS3 will be better other than the fact that you are a fan I'll be happy to buy it when it comes out in the next few years.

The pitcure posted was not the PS3... The test system will not even hit the papers until the middle of 05. The system you see in that link is a PSX which is a PS2 DVD burner combo.
