ok, moore is doing what the press should be doing, exposing all the government corruption. The press these days has lost the investigative spirit that it had in the 60's. They now jsut take what the government feeds them, they don't dig. Moore, even though he puts his own spin on it, he tells us the things about the government that they don't want us to know.

Frankly, I'm getting pretty sick of all the rightwing people calling him a liar and a propagandist and the leftwing people kissing his butt. I respect the guy for what he does, and agree with him on pretty much everything he says, but that doesn't mean he's thin and handsome.

Don't know wich movies you're referring too, but in the movies I've seen (Bowling for Columbine & Fahrenheit 9/11) he's just critizising the US, IE for unfair wars, employee abuse, guns, a bad social system etc. This isn't al the leftish. Sure, it's more to the left than to the right, but practically all the things he's fighting for are the norm in most European countries.

I've seen his movies.

I've been to the rebuttal sites.

I've seen his rebuttal to the rebuttal sites.

So far, the majority of the rebuttal site seem to nitpick, or try to assert that Moore has said something or implied something that he didn't.

From what ALL of is movies and books say, Not just F911, or Bowling, I am under the impression that Moore is a well-meaning guy.

He stands up for the little guy, and takes on the corporations when few people will.

At a time when CEO's are seeing as much as 2 Billion more a year in salary for sending American jobs overseas, the rapidly eroding middle class needs a voice.

Moore is far from the only voice, but he does get heard... and he's not afraid to piss of liberals and conservatives alike to do so.

the fact is, that he doesn't try to push his own particular agenda, he does what he thinks will benifit america most. For example, this election year he denounced Nader, because moore will do anything to get bush out fo office.

Okay can some one please explain to me what mcheal moore's movies say? All I hear is that he's an ass, he's a patriot, he's a fucking moron, your mom is a moron, thats all im getting from this. I heven't seen farenheit 9/11 or Bowling for Comlubine(which i hear is hilarious, but not much else)

So what im asking is, can somebody who REALLY THINKS THEY KNOW what Micheale Moore and his talk about, please post what his thoughts are. I'd really appraciate it.

I think I have heard enough of michael moore for a life time. He is a stupid person, who only argues with other stupid people, and more stupid people are leading the assault on him.

Its like a big stupid explosion resulting from the combination of stupid and negative-stupid reducing everyone to a state of super stupid.

Michael Moore has an opinion, and he makes it public in a very loud way. He has the right to do it, and although i disagree with some of his ideas, i do respect his right to express himself. Other than that, I dislike his attitude. F 9/11 was a movie/documentary which I believe was only an attack on the president. The whole movie feels like a million dollar rant. Sure, it does "reveal" facts which some people may have not been aware of, but there was nothing truly new in the movie. All the facts he presents had already been made public at one point or another, he simply gathered everything that made Bush look bad and compliled it into one chunk of a movie. When I saw Bowling for Columbine, I gained a deep respect for Moore and his ideas. However, after F 9/11, I have totally lost all respect for him. Anyone who makes a movie simply to make someone look bad doesn't merit acclaim.

Yeah, my perspective on the topic is that people usually flame Mr. Moore because they don't want to hear that the president is a raging idiot. We need to get Bush out of office, honestly. If he plans to build bases in Iraq and keep soldiers there for ten years then, yeah, he's going to reinstate the draft.
