I heard a little while ago that there are ideas in the pipelines to remove the beurocricy from the UK british policing system, and since then I have heard little to nothing, and I can find no information on it- was I dreaming this or is something actually happening here?
There are many truths in this world. No one thing is ever real. No one thing is ever right. No one person can ever know the whole truth, regardless of the facts they possess.

You might have been hearing the Tories speak about rtaking it out of policing. This is code for "We Dont want statistics for how many Asians we stop in the stop-and-search thing"

If that's the case, I highly recommend turning your television ON.

it probabyl would help the police do their jobs if there less false accusations of racism based on numbers which show no direct link between the attitudes of the officers and the demographics that are stopped/searched.
they also want to stop officers form having to write out a detailed escription of why they stopped someone every time it happens. it really isn't worth staying there for an average seven minutes, and chances are that officers will just get bored and start using template reasons every time.
