Thats not really a depressing song, I like it.
Hmm... Tricky the Clown's theme song is depressing.
Hmm, that's tough. "Like Suicide" by Soundgarden is pretty depressing, but so is a LOT of Tom Waits songs. I'd have to give it some more thought.
rudoph the red nose reindeer oh gawd just thinking the xmas season is comming and listening to it for 5 weeks is enough to make me kill my self REDRUM

It's the guitar riff near the end.

Gary Jules. And yeah, that is a pretty sad and depressing song. Piano Man by Billy Joel is also up there.
I used to be with it. Then they changed what it was.
Now what I'm with isn't it and what's it seems weird and scary to me.
It'll happen to you!

Radiohead - Pyramid Song

I agree, Pyramid song is depressing, but I listen to it all the time.
oh wait, evanescence with "my immortal" is the most depressing one.

Oh, likewise, but it can certainly help in leading to one.
Also, not all of Radiohead is necessarily depressing. "High And Dry" is more mellow than anything (while the lyrics are slightly more dramatic), "Nice Dream" is actually uplifting, "Planet Telex" sounds too much like U2 to be depressing...
Aww, crap. Readdicted to Radiohead, thanks to sampling their tracks. *gives in to WinAMP*

Oh, this is definatly the winner! hands down.
This isn't a song due to its lack of words, but have any of you heard the Schindler's List soundtrack? The violin solo in that is EXTREMELY depressing. It's beautiful, but it just brings you to tears.

That reminds me:
Sigur Ros - Ny Batterà (New Batteries)
They sound an awful lot like Radiohead, and yet a different flavor.
Also, ANYTHING by Massive Attack or Portishead will suffice.

Indeed. Radiohead are so depressing to listen to, they would make Barney the Dinosaur kill himself.
Brand New - "Okay, I believe you, But My Tommy Gun Don't"
That song is a song of mass proportions... very very saddenning if you've ever had the chance to listen to it. Also "Stairway to Heaven" is quite a depressing song.

It wouldn't be a waste of time-- those who don't want to read it will just skip it, but some of us would be interested. And if you want to share it with us, please do.
