there's gotta be a way to vote AGAINST someone instead of voting for someone. by this, i mean, i should be able to simply cast a vote against Bush... god knows i dont want to cast a vote for Kerry.

Can’t you vote for independents?
Or is there a Green Party candidate?

Of course you can't cast a vote against someone. It would be pointless. Vote for Nader or the Greens. Or whoever else takes your fancy.

If you don't like the choices, you don't have to vote. It's that simple.
Think you're pretty clever...

That is the pussy's way out.
Always vote. Even when you have to write-in the candidate.

There's not just two candidates, there are much more to pick from. You can probably write-in somebody too. Gotta think outside the box from time to time.

Fuck that. Then I can't complain.
Anyway. Here is an easy idea: Have a spot on the ballot that will count as a negative vote.
Ex: I don't wanna vote for Bush. I don't wanna vote for anyone else.
So I go to the polls on election day, hoping for some inspiration when I see the candidates names on the ballot. But instead, I see a button on my touch screen that says vote against _____. I go to the person behind the desk, and she says that I can use my presidential vote to take away a vote from a presidential candidate. Thus, I can settle my conscience, because I will not have voted for an unworthy candidate, but I will have voted, so I can complain when the President fucks up.

Let's face it - America has the worst possible voting system.
Here you go guys - go play. I like approval and instant-runoff voting myself.

Even if we wanted a simple negative vote system, there's no time to set it up before November
