How would you feel about a black president, and be honest, I bet you all would say that you would feel very comfortable with one, but in your minds you have doubts. I say that I would feel okay with one, but how would others?

What about current black top dog Colin Powel? He has quite an impressive resume if a little short on traditional political experiance. I say traditional because there is nothing non political about being chairman of the JCS. His view fall a bit out of traditional republican idealogy though making it hard for him to get the nomination if he decided to run but it could provide the kick that the complacent Republican leadership needs.

I'm not sure if Colin Powell would be elected, but if it were Powell versus Kerry, you know where my vote would be... with Powell. Even though I am mroe libereal than the mainstream democrat, I still think that Powell is a good man (with the exception of a few Bush related blemishes), and frankly, I'd rather have a good man be president who buts heads with me than a president I slightly agree with.

how can u be so pompous to think you know enough "blacks" make the claim that no of them are qualified to be prez. i know plenty of people qualified to president but because of their situation the never have cahnce to run. Especialy since it takes millions of dollars to run a campain

I mean look at the incumbent and his main challenger, it's sad. I know people with more political prowee in their little finger than Kerry has in his entire chin. We may have a minority prez sooner than we think we will. The Census says that at the rate we are going, in like 2008 or something, Whites are no longer going to be a majority in this country. As in the US population will be less than 50% white. so, sooner than later, whites are going to be the "minority"
