This Club is meant For All Martial Artists to share their wisdom with each other. Please keep all questions, and statements within this subject. Please state the name of your style and how many years you have invested in it on your first post, for example mine is Isshinryu and I have 7 years invested in it. You may share your rank if you'd like but it's not required. Thanks for reading and welcome to the club.

This is the traditional symbol of Okinawin Karate if you didn't know.

I took Goju-Ryu for three years, but I quit about four years ago because my sensei was a jackass. I made it to blue belt. The only thing that I remember is how to count to ten in Japanese.

Interesting, I've heard of Kempo but I know very little about it. Is Kempo, Chinese or Japanese in origin?

Yep, it happens to a lot of people. you need a good sensei if you want to truly learn a style.

Then there is the fact that I have severe ADHD and Can barely remember what happened thirty minutes ago because I am so hyper.

I was in some fake, "keep the delinquent out of trouble" class. It was a form of Karate that the teacher made himself. I graduated as a 2nd Dan. You could tell it was fake because I went from 9th Kyu to 1st kyu in 5 weeks, and then to 2nd Dan in 3 weeks.

I agree, it had to be fake. It should take a few years before you become black belt in any style, especially a 2nd degree black belt.
My teacher is a Grand Master,"Tenth degree black belt" It took him 15+ years to get that rank. And he has the skill to back up his rank.

But, even if it is fake, it's effective as long as the person you're up against doesn't know anything... like Tai Bo. A guy who knew Tai Bo could whoop mine or anyone elses in my classmates asses. :)

I'm from the city. I know how to street fight. That's why I was in that "keep the delinquent out of trouble" program.

Is it used to attack or for Self Defense in real situations.

Has anyone got to the breaking part of their training. If so, what is harder to break? A 3 inch thick board or a10 inch thick cement block? Think about it.

Somthing similar happened to a friend of mine. He tried to break a block and didn't got through.... It hurts me just to think about it..
But you'll catch up.
