That's all good and well, but if you paid attention to what Tom said specifically, he said Adult Swim is going to run THEIR advertisements ON NG. He didn't say a single word about NG ads appearing during Adult Swim programming as you and a couple other people seem to have misunderstood.

Don't get me wrong, I think it'd be great if NG ads were on TV, but ads on TV cost a shitload more than ads on the web, and I don't know if Tom wants to spend that sort of money on an ad for a website (you don't see too many of those anymore these days, if you've noticed... a bit for e-bay, a bit for yahoo, that's about it). And there's also the probability that there are a LOT more viewers of Adult Swim who've never been to NG.com and would love it here... than there are NG members/visitors who've never seen Adult Swim and would love to watch it. Still... Tom is being paid to advertise Adult Swim, he's not paying for NG to be advertised on it, at least as far as he said in this thread.

As for the new nav bar... I like and appreciate that the buttons are now bigger and there's more of them and that's all good... whether there was sound or not doesn't matter that much to me as I tend to have my speakers muted and only put on my headphones when I'm actually listening to music or to a flash... I did kinda like how the old buttons depressed more than how the new ones get that "shiny gold look" to 'em when you mouseover...

but I have one problem with the new buttons: as others have mentioned, they don't seem to "fit in" with the rest of the banner/nav area. Specifically in terms of texture and colour. They have this kinda... dingy brownish-yellow/orange look to them.. that I think totally clashes with the yellow and orange stripes on the NG tank logo... and with the shades of the Help/Forums/Chat/Lit/Webcam/Users/Net/Submit buttons especially. They even clash with the orange of the sign in and join NG button text. IOW, the colours just plain bite.

So... if the colours were more closely matched to the other orange/yellow/goldish colours in the new design, I think the new nav would be a home run. As it is, I'd rate it a double at most, and probably a single.

You are right about Adult Swim and NG being a good match. Adult Swim and NG have similar qualities. Possibly a start of a colaboration...? Well congrats on your Alien Hominid game. I hope it hits the PS2 console. Well good luck Tom.

Tom I like the new nav bar stamper did an awsome job also I saw the page on AH at gamespot I can't wait to play AH and I'm also a huge contra fan I will be buying this for sure.
