Wrestling is not real. All the plots in the WWE are all made up, they also are not real. They dont really smack each other in the head with chairs, this would result in serious head injury's. Yes sometimes they do get cuts and bruises, but its not intentional.

It is Fantastic.

Bullshit. How is wrestling the "hardest sport to learn"? You just heard that from some wrestling instructor - have you ever played other sports? And if you have, I doubt you've played all.

I'm training in thaiboxing. Now, I think getting striked with elbows, knees, punches and kicks is just a tad more hard than crawling around in spandex looking gay. We train hard, fight hard, and inevitably get hit hard.... the biggest challange is LEARNING how to "take" a punch and not show signs of pain. I'm not a very great thaiboxer myself, but I watch people who are FANTASTIC sweat it out at the gym, day in, day out, with their drive and determination. And I can't imagine anyone who train harder than these guys - they truely are spectacular.

I can scrap, but not wrestle. Plus, wrestling is so fucking fake. If i grabbed a chair and smashed it on some asshole's bald head, he would die. Those guys are stronger than me and they smash chairs and nothing happens...they just stand there like dumb fucks...

when i go to the gym there is like this little place for wrestling and then the rest of the gym is for boxing and the wrestlers wanted to see who was stronger so a boxer and a wrestler fought in a boxing rink and the boxer kicked his ass in less than 3 minites.. They fought like in the movie ROCKY 3.

boxing is alot harder than wrestling

SubKutz.Speak only on subjects you know.I was once a pro wrestler. The type that's on WWE.Trust me.The only fake things about it is the fact that you're not trying to dodge the hits. But every hit is real. And you're right about the head injuries. It does result in that.I've seen it happen.I've even accidentally sent a good friend to the hospital once. Please show more respect, kiddo. It's not as fake as you think.

Have you ever noticed that there are some wrestlers that don't get hit with weapons much, and don't take certain moves? Have you also noticed that when they finally do,they're suddenly written out of all storylines for the next couple months? Some people just naturally can take hard hits, and some can't.I've personally had a lot of things done to me that by all rights should have killed me.I've been thrown down a cement staircase, only to get up to being hit repeatedly with a chair,a real steel chair from wal-mart,until it bent to the shape of my head.I've also taken some DDT's that have had me seeing pure white for a couple minutes.

Some people simply have higher resistance to damage than others.I currently only suffer two lasting effects from those days.Back pain, and a weak short-term memory.

I hope this didn't end up as a double-post.

Wrestling isn't the hardest sport to learn i joined after the team already had about 3 duels over with 7 left with 5 heavy weights (i too was a heavy weight) with only a week left before our next meet. I only joined wrestling to make sure i stayed in good shape for football so really before that i've never wrestled before other than a few times with my friends but i didnt do any moves i just used my power and weight. So i joined and before that next meet i had already learned enough to beat all of our heavyweights. But it is a fun sport that i really started to like. So don't think im knocking it im just saying it's not that hard to learn but i think it's about impossible to know all the moves and all the reversals.

The only real thing about wrestling is when a guy falls off their bungee chord and dies. (Notably Owen Hart)

wrestling in highschool was fucking fun. it's one of the most physically-demanding sports ever, if not THE most demanding. it's not like some long drawn-out endurance race...you'd be surprised how hard a short six minutes could be when you're using 100% of your energy and strength the whole entire time. it's crazy...i had this one match where i was up 12-2, just looking for a tech fall in the second period. i was already whooping this kid's ass so i started to relax, but he wouldn't relent. next thing i know, he gets one takedown but keeps turning me to my back, so it's fucking 13-13 going into overtime, i'm completely gassed, i look like a putz, and my whole team is pissed at me. i pinned the guy in OT so i still got 6 team points, but you know. it looked pathetic. i know exactly how my team felt looking at me; when you see your friend doing real shitty when you know he's capable of doing better, it's embarassing not only to him but to yourself as well.

there's been matches where i wrestled some real big, scary, intimidating kids...and completely beat the shit out of them. there's also been matches where i wrestled some pale, wiry, pathetic looking kids...and got my ass whooped. definately the whole "don't judge a book by its cover" thing works here.

my shortest match was 14 seconds...i hip-tossed a kid on the opening whistle and pinned him pretty quick. my longest was a double-OT where the kid kept bleeding throughout the whole thing so they had to keep stopping the match to clean his bloody nose and whatnot. it must've been like...6 minute match + 2 minute blood time + 5 minutes injury time i think.

i've won a bunch of medals and trophies and whatnot, but most of them are 2nd and 3rd place, not 1st place.

---

I think the way they keep changing the structure around here is retarded. The divisions/sections get fucked with every year. Last year (observing the little kids that had joined when I graduated, now big kids obviously) they did some shit where there were TWO sectional champs for every section...one for small schools and one for large schools. shit, if that's the same field i was wrestling out of, i would have gone to states (for small schools) consistently, i'm sure of it. i never was a sectional champ, but i've beaten sectional champs at duel meets and tournys.

---

wrestling has changed my life. not only for the injuries i've gotten throughout it (cauliflower ear, herniated disks in my back, nerve damage on the right side of my face) but for what i learned, like how to throw the fuck out of anyone that starts shit and gets too close, or how to get off thbe ground if someone's trying to hold you there, and some extremely painful joint locks too (because they show you what you're not allowed to do on the mat, doesn't mean you can't do it off the mat). that, and i made a lot of friends from lots of different schools, and met a whole lot of girls also. going to tournys and hanging out in the cafeteria talking to chicks was always fun...until their wrestler boyfriend (if they had one) came in and started beefing. but heh, whatever.

also, i coached the elementary school wrestling program after i graduated for a year. it was cool, teaching little kids how to kick ass. makes me want to raise a son.

I, too, wrestled in high school, and I was good. I went to state twice, won regionals once. Big 152, one of the hardest weight classes ever.

Dude, there is a lot more to wrestling then you think.
There is a shit load of techniques to learn, tons of escapes, and tons of different ways to score points.
