I used arrays to hold the level. Then I made an engine to turn the array into a playable level. That was actually the hardest part, and there's no quick way to tell you how.
A Small Favor, the alien assassin adventure, is getting a 2013 reboot, as long as we hit our Kickstarter goal.

Also, there is nothing really "basic" about Hi-Q. It was really hard to make.
