After noticing how John Edwards likes to jump in and take the lime light more then a few times, I'm wondering if this type of behavior is kind of bad. I like Kerry very much, but I've noticed how Edwards tends to just jump on opportunities and talks, and talks, and talks for some more and speak for Kerry. Kerry keeps very quiet, and I don't know if it is because of modesty or he lacks sense to say and do something about it. Will Kerry let Edwards indirectly rule the country just as how Bush allowed Cheney indirectly preside over the US?

I think Kerry won't cede power to Edwards if they get into the house. Edwards is charismatic and all that jazz - they have to use it. But he's fairly green in terms of national politics.

They seem more like a team to me. But then again that's just from casual observations.
Cheny however is certainly the real voice behind the presidency.
You will note that Bush was not even allowed to give testimony to the 911 commission without Cheney being right next to him.

Cheney, as VP, and thus leader of the Senate, represents Congress, of course he was in front of the 9/11 commission. It has nothing to do with him being the voice behind the presidency.
Think you're pretty clever...

You ignored the point - they went in together to testify.
Care to give me another instance of people testifying together?

I have to agrere. Edwards is young and jumpy, and vibratnma dn all the things that usually annoy old people, so he's bound to have a few ideas that he's just GOTTA say. He is kind of an opposite to Kerry though.

Edwards is like 50 something... "young and jumpy... all the things that usually annoy old people..." I thought people are old once they get 50. I guess he's only young at heart...

In the world of politis, if you are younger than Strom Thurmand (dead now) you are "young and jumpy"

I think alot of it is PR. People complained that Kerry wasn't "charismatic enough. Now, they added Edwards to liven things up a bit. Look at Kerry "Frakenstein" before now we have him and Edwards "Jumping John".

Bush and Cheney have them too. I was just trying to point out, the fact that everyone has personal flaws, and when you are on the (world) stage EVERYTHING comes out, especially the bad as people love negativity.

edwards, the new cheney? thats like saying that bananas are the new ham. i admit that bush looks like nothing more than a puppet, sitting upon the heart attack ridden knee of cheney, but that is because cheney has what GW does not (insert brain remark here), but edwards is nothing more than some "young" gun who thinks that his opinion is always valid

Y'know Bush may not be the brightest man to get to the oval office, but he isn't stupid. Frankly Kerry has no ambition, plan; or any idea on how to fix the problems in this country. Edwards is much like Cheney in a way that je provides something the president does not. Bush is not a polished politician where as Cheney fills that role. And Kerrey lacks any type of decisiveness or ability to run this country...and that is where Edwards comes into play. I hope Bush wins the election, But I also don't think we'd be in terrible hands with Edwards running the show.

But should'nt we have two strong running presidents? Rather than the vice-presidents running the show? I doubt Edwards has much clout as a leader, remember he lost the primaries.
