I read all the time how NG forum users claim Foxnews is a biased news entity.

If that is true what about all the other major news outlets? Are they biased in anyway?

There is no such thing as a perfectly independent news outlet. CNN is probably the closest, but they tend to lean a little to the right. It's nowhere near as bad as FOX News. If you compare the two, FOX has a 5:1 conservative:liberal ratio. In contrast, CNN has a margin a little closer. I think it's like 1.5:1, but don't quote me on that.

"FOX News Network has turned up the heat in the cable news arena. The cable channel, owned by Fox Entertainment Group, provides news coverage and commentary, often with a conservative bent."

Conservative bent. Come on people, this is from Hoovers.com, which is a business website. I doubt they have any reason to lie.

CNN isn't that bad... the report all kinds of news, whereas FOX News, with Bush family members working on the top, tend to curb anything that isn't good to Bush's reputation, and hype up other things. But I do like FOX... I just have to offset it by watching my local news too and CNN.

Watch the BBC. Best News Network in the whole wide universe. Ever, and that's official, because I said so.

But seriously, the BBC are great, and all the British Broadsheets are, actually, that's one thinkg I think is really good about Britain, our Medfia is great. CNN is, as far as I have seen, a pretty good news station, and if I had satellite, I'd watch it as well as BBC.

Oh yeah! BBC is GREAT. Both CNN and FOX pales in comparison to BBC...

They don't play stupid music, etc... On CNN and FOX, as bad as this sounds, these are entertaining. Really, either one reporting on the war feels like a watching a melodramtic soap opera/ tele-novela.

Aye. CBS<FOX<MSNBC<CNN<BBC. Overall, the BBC network is the best. But there are a few shows on CNN, MSNBC that make those stations worth watching. I plan to watch the DNC on C-SPAN though, if that's even classified as a news network.

Though each network has it's side, it just so happens that FOX News is more Conservative/Republican that the rest. I don't like O'Reilly at all, but Sean Hannity is a great man, so is Alan Keyes.

The BBC is the best.

I think it’s completely neutral, and I has to be, because it’s paid for by the British people.

CNN, in Canada, is said to be biased, but it's definately less biased than FOX news.

FOX news = right wing = piss me off.

I view CNN as the most center news channel among them all in the US. Crossfire is what Hannity and Colmes doesn't have the balls to be.

BBC is great, however, MSNBC is total crap. Most of the networks are turning into wannabe E!'s. In the middle of an important report, they'll cut away to Ms. Spears running over a reporter.

However, Fox is flamingly bias. They don't even TRY to hide it anymore. I've made fun of Fox in front of conservatives and they flipped out on me.

For those of you who don't get BBC(me), instead of trying to find a neutral network, you should watch something that is right and something that is left. For example: Watch The Daily Show, wait a half hour, then watch The O'Reilly Factor.

A lot of you guys are saying that the BBC is neutral but I have to disagree and say they are very left because of the whole controversy with the intentionally false coverage right before the Iraq war. A guy committed suicide over the whole ordeal if you remember.

How can you say they are neutral when they made it a point to report falsely?

The BBC is Neutral. The reporters are opposed to the Iraq war on a personal level, but that's just individual views. They report facts in a very unbiased manner, way good enough for me. On Iraq, you could say the BBC had a left-wing slant. That's probably right, but for absolutely everything else, especially domestic issues, they report fabulously.

Every news station has biases. Even the BBC is a little biased, but I agree, they are pretty close to neutral. I like CNN the most because of their sheer journalistic muscle, they have people everywhere, and if there's a big news story happening anywhere in the world, they're going to be the first ones on it.

It is a sad day in age where the Coperate News Network is the closest thinkg to unbiased in the minds of our youth.

Have any of you people ever heard for PBS, or NPR???? yeah, they are boring, but they are much closer to neutral slant. Not even NPR is neutral slant anymore, they again, lean slightly to the left.

But when we got people like Bush, Kerry, Michael Moore, and the nefarious hypocritical drug ab00sin rush libaugh working everyone into a fury of killing the non-believers, its hard to find ANYONE who is not slanted in general.

I agree.

Sometimes the more truthful party is a third person view, third party. You know what I mean, right?

I agree with that BBC is the best news in the world.

Unlike CNN, BBC doesn't seem to lean toward any end.

That's the beauty about it.

To each his own.............................................................

Allow me to state that Sean Hannity is a racist asshole and there's evidence to prove it from Larry Flynt in HUSTLER's Holiday 2002 edition.

As far as I'm concerned, some people can't seem to get it into their heads that the Civil War ended 139 years ago.

I don't like O'ugly either.................Cutting someone's microphone off especially when the guest was speaking is most certainly a dispicable act of cowardiness.

Oh sure, it may seem stupid to refer evidence from a magazine and that's just about the same as saying that Larry Flynt didn't get shot and paralyzed.

Again, to each his own.
